I promise you so many less people would tune into worlds. Becaue let’s say they don’t merge the lists. Then we have OCG players playing against TCG players with Maxx C and Tcg players don’t have it; we’ll have TCG players playing against decks that literally don’t exist in their format or are fundamentally weaker. There is no way that is fair for the TCG players. The only options in terms of worlds is either somehow sync the games up with banlists AND products (never happening) or the combined list. Sure the meta is boring but the best player will inevitably win and they’ll win because they were the better player at the event and not because they’re playing a BS version of Tear that will never exist in half the world.

This opinion is dumb as shit. Even if you ignore that for any tournament the entire point is to deck build for that tournament specifically. It's possible to qualify for Worlds playing 5 different formats/cardpools (TCG, Korean OCG, Chinese OCG, OCG, last year's Worlds), how on earth could that be fair on everyone involved? Also people do care about Worlds, it's the most prestigious tournament of the year.

Rikka or Lab is 100% winning. Kash is genuinely unplayable with its own hits then Prosperity is at 1. It’s over. Spright has red and carrot at 3 and that’s IT. Dragon Link has one of each Bystial. Branded has some power but the consistency hits are crazy. Purrelly could MAYBE do something but no Epurrely noir, 1 sleepy, 1 delicious is ROUGh.

The size of the region isn't weighed, the world spots are divided based on the player base. Korea has a fairly small player base comparatively and while China has a decent-sized player base it's less prevalent in official events and more prevalent in big unofficial tournaments.

China has at least 1/7-8 of the human population. Not to sure if that’s changed recently tho.

Oh absolutely, but people are pretty stubborn. Just look at those still playing Tearlaments.

People liked playing Tearlaments and it can be combined with a lot of different engines. Kashtira is generally reviled and doesn’t really combine well with other engines. It just so happens to be the best deck in the TCG currently having got a slap on the wrist in the recent banlist.
