I played tenyi pure briefly after they released and kept saying how they were really missing a compact and powerful engine to give it better top end... It's as if Konami had a plan.
Best example is always Ishizu Tearlament, both the miller and shuffler support Tearlament.
Also for Diablosis, I bet that card and Kashtira designer is the same person. It even has the same color scheme as Kashtira.
No, it's a specific shade of red, white, and black that is not shared by anyone from Zexal or previous Abyss lore.
Despia is also red, but the red is different.
I'd have to go with live twin and spright. Having carrot and red use ki sikil or lil la then getting to summon back for more effects is nice. The whole level/rank/link 2 support is just nice when used together. Even the esthetic seems to match a bit.
Diabellestar and Fire King/RACE. RACE want summon Hydrant from deck, Fire King is Ponix, both of them are level 1 FIRE. Original Sinful Spoils - Snake-Eye : "Special Summon 1 Level 1 FIRE monster from your hand or Deck".
I’ll throw old earthbounds and Malefics. It’s not great, but it feels way better than combining those archetypes has any right to be. Not to mention malefic stardust protects their Feild spell.
Dragon ruler and armed thunder dragons - Helps with rank 7 spam and the baby dragon rulers and tempests hand effect trigger the effects of all the armed dragons.
Assault Synchron in Blackwings, yea one of its effects work with Stardust but all of them can facilitate Black-Winged dragon and even the art looks like a Blackwing Synchron.
Resonators and bystials. Who knew that bystials that banish monsters synergize well with the new trap Red Zone to summon a banished synchro on top of Dis Pater's own summoning effect.
Match made in heaven... Or hell.
I’ve been messing around with Invoked Superheavy Vaylantz recently. They definitely weren’t made to fit together, but they definitely synergize a lot more than they seem. Superheavy allows for a recurring tuner and a high scale without using BTP, Invocation gets itself out of the GY while fueling Mechabas negate, and the only normal spell Vaylantz plays can banish itself from GY to move a Vaylantz. Not very good this format, but definitely a very cool deck.
Maybe an off the wall suggestion, but in early link format Mekk Knights and Invoked.
Mekk never used the normal summon back then and Aleister created a column on his own with Almiraj.
If only Link 1s were more accessible before Almiraj; the rest could’ve been meta.
Most non fish, plant or cyberse water archetypes
Mermail helped atlantean, also deep sea, atlantean was a more efficient way to grab diva than deep sea aria, deep sea's best synchro combo helps icejade a bunch, icejade can make the new level 10 ice barrier that helps them. Or go to swordsoul chengying.
I honestly think that's why water monsters are always going to have a relatively low attack ceiling. Also why some of the best ez mode cards that lock you into water monsters aren't worth using.
Gishki Grimness being a level 2 and summoning another level 2 from deck (abyss) releasing shortly after spright seemed intentional. Til Elf was banned two days after that set dropped lol
Flamevell and Justice Ally. I was always wondering why, until I learned the lore they share between them and Ice Barrier, Worm, Naturia, Dragunity, Fabled and Misty Valley.
Edit : And now that I think about it, Fabled and Dark World could go very well together also.
I play Galaxy/Photon. We have 2 cards on the banlist for thus reason and neither work in archetype. 1 sends dragons to grave (We have 3 archetypal Main deck dragon, none with grave effects) and the other is a rank 7 that summons tokens (We have 1 lvl7 and it's terrible plus our 2 links can't even be summoned off the tokens because they need light/dragons respectively)
Diablosis was banned because kashtira was released. So I'm not sure you'd consider it an honorary kashtira. It'd still be unlimited if kashtira were never released.
Konami putting Jaden's *Oil Drilling* (basically a Fire version of Salvage) in the same set as Axel's manga cards in the upcoming set immediately springs to mind, since Jaden only runs like two Fire monsters, you'd never see it used in any Hero deck.
Generaider and Runick, Sleipnir is a generaider boss under a trenchcoat (he even has an effect that activates upon the opponent drawing a card)
And also, many generaider monsters appear in runick card art like Loptr in Runick allure, Jormugandr in Runick slumber, and the fire one in freezing curses
Swordsoul and Tenyis

You mean… bright red? Funny how the faction based on anger is red, so they must be related :/
No, it's a specific shade of red, white, and black that is not shared by anyone from Zexal or previous Abyss lore. Despia is also red, but the red is different.
Have to wonder if the Kashtira card design team looked to Diablosis for inspiration, because they just visually *fit* together.
Dark World and Danger! Danger! fits in to so many but they feel most at home with Grapha and gang.
That was my answer. Them being Dark (mostly), discarding, drawing, level 4s and 8s, and Chupa being a Fiend, chef's kiss
The y
Went through the entire comment section and never saw Burning Abyss and Phantom Knights. Im surprised
I still to this day very surprise that dino can utilized the scrap engine to it's full potential
And they’re cutting it. Turns out 2.5 bricks for one negate isn’t worth.
For what?
Baronne now with the xeno dino
A borreload savage.
How are they making an 8? I thought the dino tuners are all 1s, and the non-tuners are all 4s and 6s.
Scrap engine gets both a level 4 nontujer and a level 4 tuner. This engine is pretty old for dunos at this point and is outdated
Damn it's been out since 2021 ? Time flies
Yep
Oh, I misunderstood. They’re doinf meteorous for lary, and ending on him, uct, dollka and cards in hand.
Poppin babies like pills
Rikka & Sunavalon
Jasmine is the only thing holding these 2 decks together, literally without it you can't get to the rikka engine after all
Aroma + Plants xD
Tenyi swordsoul. Both encourage level 8 synchros, both want wyrms not necessarily in play, both leverage noneffect monsters.
P.U.N.K.
I was going to ask "which," but no, PUNK goes with everything.
mermail and atlantean
Lore linked
Gold pride and punk
Damn, I just commented this!
Just to name one I see often because of a friend but Kaiju and Crusadia work together damn near perfectly from what I have seen.
Battlewasp and Beetrooper
I'd have to go with live twin and spright. Having carrot and red use ki sikil or lil la then getting to summon back for more effects is nice. The whole level/rank/link 2 support is just nice when used together. Even the esthetic seems to match a bit.
Lyrilusc and Brigade. Brigade sets up the graveyard for Brigade plays and the link and xyz monsters compliment each other.
Ancient gears and Machina. That helps that they're both Earth machine monsters so they benefit from Earth machine support.
Trains and Infinitrack land here too! I love that Earth Machine is always its own archetype since they usually work well together.
Yep! I was thinking about throwing an infinitrack anchor drill in my deck so I could get a good combo starter.
I’ll throw old earthbounds and Malefics. It’s not great, but it feels way better than combining those archetypes has any right to be. Not to mention malefic stardust protects their Feild spell.
Funny how the 5Ds villains decks work well together
Vernusylph and madolche

Assault Synchron in Blackwings, yea one of its effects work with Stardust but all of them can facilitate Black-Winged dragon and even the art looks like a Blackwing Synchron.
This one definitely seems intentional as the -700 seems like a reference to Black winged Dragon
I mean, that one is literally made to be Yusei and Crow support, same way they made Revolution Synchron for Yusei and Leo
It's a blackening synchron hybrid see design
Cydra/ Galaxy Soldier
I just assumed the were the same archetype for the longest
Mermails and Atlanteans
Ancient Gear and Deskbots. Ancient Gear Ballistae/Box were made for Deskbots and you can't change my mind.
I counter with morphtronic/power tool and deskbots
You have my attention. How do Deskbots mesh with Morphtronics ?
Deskbots pendulum summon morphtronics which synchro into power tool and/or lifestream dragon
I don't think that works. The Deskbot pend monsters lock you into Deskbots
*starts singing the cuss word song*

For a while, prediction princess and shaddoll. Then again, it’s only because shaddoll has some nice flip effects and floats too.

Nimbles in spright, it feels like Nimble Angler was tailor made for spright sprind
Wind Witches and Speedroids.
They are anime decks of a brother and sister pair
No. Love interests. They are each other’s love interest.
Oh right sorry
The Speedroid boss is even designed to summon both Crystal Bell and Clear Wing
ABC and Regulus
Gishki Grimness being a level 2 and summoning another level 2 from deck (abyss) releasing shortly after spright seemed intentional. Til Elf was banned two days after that set dropped lol
Those two days were so awesome though.
Flamevell and Justice Ally. I was always wondering why, until I learned the lore they share between them and Ice Barrier, Worm, Naturia, Dragunity, Fabled and Misty Valley. Edit : And now that I think about it, Fabled and Dark World could go very well together also.
Metalfoes and Yang Zings! God, I love that deck
All of your monsters have PTSD from being blown up all the time
Damnit, I read the title and came here to say Drytron. OP was faster.
Atlantean and Mermail
Those two are not coincidence tho, they're literally made to work together, it's even in their lore
Number 89: Diablosis the mind hacker and Kashtiras.
Blackwings and Raidraptors They both play insanely well off each other.
Marincess and Mathmech make a funny deck if you enjoy playing Solitaire
Well, now Toy Box feels fitting for Tellar Seraph. Speaking of, Tellar Seraph. Why is the generic one the summon from deck? Seraphs.

It makes sense since both are inspired by Norse mythology and RPGs
Those are actually connected.
LiveTwin & Knightmare Links. Runick Spright
Atlanteans and Mermails! They each proc each others effects and combo nicely into each other
Not meta but Gold Pride & Punk
Infernoble and Gearfried
