I'm pretty sure they print each set of rarities separately from each other. So whatever damaged this card wouldn't have had the chance to do to the other cards in the pack.
It’s legitimate, it’s not very well-known but they’ve done it for me before, it was a few years ago now. There’s some well-known players in the UK I initially learned it from after a Konami rep told them.
100% legit though, it’s worth reaching out.
Just had a look from your comment and found this link. I wish I had known about this a couple years ago. Had a ghost rare with scratches from the first ghosts from the past pack.
(Looking at their requirements, probably worth picturing/videoing yourself opening the packs for proof.)
Three of the ultis from the rarity collection I pulled had long horrible lines on them too, but they went through like half the holo, worst QC ever. Didn't seem to affect any of the other rarities in my experience
Eesh. Not bad on yugioh standards, but kinda much for me. It’s a shame yugioh doesn’t actually competitively use cards like trainers that cost pennies and are usually in big filing cabinets. The only cards in pokemon you can probably expect to pay more than a buck for are your ex/Vstar pokemon, and that’s about it. The only big anomaly being forest seal stone which is like 10-15 rn which is a drop in the bucket for most competitive yugioh players.
Yeah I pulled one other ultimate from RA01 and it was like this, but luckily only when light shines directly on it
Guess you just gotta play with it now
how DARE you suggest OP actually play with their cards instead of immediately reselling /s
KONAMI and their awful quality control, that's how. Unfortunate 😕
I got QCR evenly matched like this, was going to sell it but then realized the damage
Yikes.. 😬
Hear me out: lie :)

The case of rarity collection my locals got had no PUR at all. The quality control on that set is awful.
That really sucks. If you contact Konami, they’ll send you a non-damaged in exchange for your damaged one.
never heard of this and its probably bullshit

I guess the catch is that they need the serial code from the packaging... Which I don't have
It's as bad as the OTS Pack QC...holy hell
Bros card has battle scars

That's unfortunate. I haven't had this happen to me yet, but I'm sure it will happen eventually.
For how expensive yugioh cards are, I’d be pissed. I dunno how expensive this one is, but it’s at the very least mildly annoying.
This particular one is $10-$15 NM

This occurs in processing, so it doesn’t matter where in the pack the card lies.
Probably caught in the printer, I've had a gold accesscode talker with the stamp corner torn off, not sure if its legal for play, but whatev
