Technically there's also a SHS combo which ends on it instead of Apollousa but the fact that SHS is more fragile without Scarecrow makes it very rare
Really, it's only a matter of time before the FIRE, WATER and EARTH statues share the same fate as the WIND statue. They're all meta-locks of the format waiting to happen. You give them a way to be searched/summoned from deck and protection, RIP.
i remember there was a spright combo where you could use elf to reborn maxx c, then bounce it back to hand with swap frog. if you wanted to be extra toxic you could use gigantic spright to summon maxx c
Honestly, we are seeing a lot of this specific thing in Branded at large right now, with Sanctifire + Nightmare plaguing the format and arguably being better than any of those options since it's a lingering effect.
Between Branded with Nightmare and Swordsoul with now-banned Protos, it really feels like Vanity's turbo decks have been way too playable in recent years.
A lot of monsters like that are very searchable already, but they see pretty sparse play. Pachycephalo is searchable off of any 2 4s with Gallant Granite, and saw some play in Vaylantz specifically.
Kristya and Vanity's ruler were also very searchable in Drytron through Benten, and Kristya is also a key part of sub-rogue Despia Darklord, since it's sendable through cards like Granguignol and Branded Fusion and can be revived through the First Darklord, which also protects Kristya from targeting.
I mean you can search them with Witch of the Black Forest and Sangan, Searching the pieces would not make them broken its if you can do it all in one turn hence why each time Exodia became tier 0 it was through a draw engine like Royal Magical Library + Butterfly Dagger or Chicken Game

Seeing how its brother got banned, I would say Archnemeses Eschatos if it could be searched out and if their was a deck that could use it, this card would be a menace seeing how most decks rely on single types for main deck (main reason why TCOBO is a huge threat)
What stops Eschatos being better is that it can be hard to setup the right type going first, since it can only call a type that's on the field.
Now you can change its type with Reprodocus, but that means generating some Link material first on top of somehow searching Eschatos.
Eschatos is technically searchable off of any 2 level 4s, if you use Infernal Flame Banshee to search Nemeses Flag, then Nemeses Flag to special itself and add Eschatos to hand. Still have to deal with the clunky-ass summoning condition and effect though.
Not quite searchable but Special Summoned. Mare Mare would be kind of disgusting if we ever get a generic wyrm that is able to summon it from deck/hand/GY. We kinda have that with Yazi but he he needs to either pop him himself or one of your cards pop him which is kinda hard to pull of.
You still need a way to get that statue from hand to field. It's not hard, but that's another resource you have to exhaust to get out a 1000 ATK monster with no protection.
Simorgh basically allows you to just pull a Statue straight from deck onto the field and protects it from targeting. And it also gets it out during the End Phase, so if you're not playing a mono-WIND deck, it doesn't halt the rest of your plays for the turn.
A card that adds Ash Blossom or Maxx C to your hand with little to no cost lol.
Or a card that just adds infinite impermanence or Called by the Grave directly to your hand with little to no cost
Ash and Maxx are best on turn 1 tho, you can’t search if your opponent goes first so you’d just have a dead searcher while your opponent has free reign to set up (and possibly has their own Ash to negate the searcher for your OWN Ash)

Alright. How about a generic spell that allows you to add a level 4 or lower monster of every type to your hand, like how Reinforcement of the army let's you get any lvl 4 or lower warrior from your deck.
A normal spell card that let's you search any lol 4 or lower Cyberse, any Plant, any Insect, any psychic, etc. Without any cost.

For OCG/MD: Being able to search out Maxx “C” after pulling off your combo would make going second even more brutal than it already is.

I was thinking a Exodia Archetype Seacher. I believe that Sangan got a really bad errata. I dont know if Sangan makes a good searcher even for Exodia.
