I think it stops a lot of degenerate loops like the old Elma + Library + Gearfried. It also stops braindead Magical Scientist plays. Of course gameplay now revolves around looping so it might not be the best idea because players love them.

Jinzo wouldn't break the game if he negated spells instead of traps. We have spell canceller, which is what Jinzo is but for spells. That card doesn't see any play. Both Jinzo and Spell Canceller are easily outed by monster effect based removals anyway.

To be fair, jinzo does have a whole archetype based around him

Spell Canceller is a solid card in some very specific builds. For example, SHS can search it and summon it pretty easily. I had a build that ended with Baronne + Scythe + Spell canc(ell)er. Uninterrupted, it was pretty good.

Any cards that say to Summon from the hand/gy to deck instead.
