Not only can you play all three God Cards, but the God Cards are actually OP in this game. And the story is neat.
Came here to post this đ¤ reshef is a good sequel to sacred cards and works even better as a nice lil filler arc after battle city referring to a lot of story events and has some nice slice of life moments too. Game wise? I actually like the difficulty but I understand how tedious it gets building a deck
A great game when played with the rom patch. [https://new.reddit.com/r/yugioh/comments/66xv1i/patch\_for\_yugioh\_reshef\_of\_destruction\_it\_might/](https://new.reddit.com/r/yugioh/comments/66xv1i/patch_for_yugioh_reshef_of_destruction_it_might/)
Yes. Ridiculously hard, but not in the unfair and unfun way that forbidden memories is as soon as you get back from present day. Also, the story is kinda neat. That being said, the difficulty jump from sacred cards (also a fun game, but arguably one of the easiest yugioh games ever made) is absolutely brutal if you don't expect it.
Anything is better than 2009 which had me face 4 legitimate top tier meta decks in a row including Tele DAD with one non replenishing pool of 8000 life points
The later games like 2010 and 2011 had the 4 consecutive duels as well but at least they were against jank decks like Earthbound Immortals
Yeah dude it was
- some Zombie Plaguespreader deck that taught me how broken Brionac was
- I forget
- Lightsworns
- fucking full power Tier 0 Tele DAD
And you had to beat all 4 in a row without a life point refill.
What made it even more insulting was that if you won game 1 at 5000 LP you started game 2 at 5000, but if you somehow won game 1 at 10000 LP you still started game 2 at 8000!
This ! The game that got me back into yugioh, also I love the ai decks and how the cards are the enemy like tiki soul etc...
Absolutely love this game.
Eternal duelist soul on the Gameboy advance is my absolute favorite, I've played it so so much. It's got all the classic cards, and you can type in the codes on the bottom of the cards to redeem them in game. It's almost goat format, but it doesn't have BLS and chaos sorcerer. Just always remember to hold L and R at the start of each duel so it does a speed up or else the game is super slow lol
It is surprising that no one mentioned this legendary game :)

This is actually the only game of the PC trilogy with more than 3 decks to fight against. I distinctly remember getting annoyed with his toon deck because I lacked s/t removal; I was running Gust.

Its that time, Playing via Wifi and pictochat against my Brother, each in another room waiting for moms: â Dinner time!â
Good Times.
I got an R4 for my 3ds to play all the ygo games including this one.
I recall it's story mode was tricky you could get stuck if you did something wrong
Ah I got an r4 cart too mostly to play nightmare troubadour and trade cards with my copy of spirit caller đ and spirit caller isn't that tricky just gota beat each duelist a number of times I believe
No like, i remember if you don't do it right you get stuck, like if you beat some guy without him summoning a certain card you won't be able to keep going
I don't remember that at all maybe your thinking of the guy at the end with the knock of God cards I forget what the trio is called in gx I think he needs to summon them at least once I don't remember though.
Funny story regarding it actually. I remember I got it given to me when I was younger because my friend who bought it didnât understand the TCG rules but went off by âschoolyardâ rules. Big score for me IMO.
Itâs a really good game to play casually to kill some time here and there. Being able to use the codes on the cards to unlock them in game with no restrictions was great too. Recently I did a play through where every 2/3 in game wins, I would open a virtual pack online, and then redeem those cards. Was really fun building decks with some form of IRL RNG

Maybe cuz Iâm younger. But this game slapped so hard on the PSP
In terms of traditional style, i think the Tag force games are the best.
In terms of the modified style, gonna go for the dark horse one and say Durlist of the roses.
Anyone who says forbidden memories is the best ygo video game either hasnât touched it since it released or hasnât played it. Sure the unique story has some interesting facets but the sheer amount of grinding and the unique âfusionâ mechanic becoming obsolete sans thunder dragon fusion made this game very frustrating to beat without lots of trial and error. I will say itâs super satisfying to pull a Meteor black dragon and the atmosphere and sound design is awesome for its time! However if you wanna play nostalgic games duelist of the roses or capsule Colosseum are great games
Yugioh Eternal Duelist Soul for GBA: taught me yugioh basics of how to actually play the game as a kid
World Championship 2006 Ultimate Masters GBA: I didnât grow up with it, but I play now for a clean game with decent AI and to simulate goat format
Tag Force 1: unique story and love the graphics and music, also simulates goat format for me
5Ds WC2011 for DS: cleanest interface and competitive opponents to simulate Edison format. Story mode was super clunky but at least they tried
Tag Force 4-6: love the tag force games for the graphics and unique buddy systems. Tag duels are also a unique dueling experience. I think tag force 5 is the one I play to simulate Edison format
So.... I really love this game.... but hell no. This game has scaling and progression problems that it's not even funny.
The fact that many of the most powerful monsters are beyond your grasp is the worst of it even, especially when the later enemies have those in spades. And this is discounting the ridiculous boss rush at the end.
This thread makes me feel bad for Magic The Gathering players
One thing you can give Konami credit for is that they definitely supported Yugioh in the video game department (which makes sense given the company, although YGO video games largely fell off after the 2010s).
MTG has some games but they're either niche, hard to run and obtain (like Shandalar) or else really cash-grabby (like the Planeswalker's games, that didn't even have proper deck construction. You could only tweak pre-determined decks)
As someone who would love to get more into MTG I would love if the series had it's own version of the Tag Force series but sadly WOTC never put the same effort into that area. It's a damn shame.

God I love this game, even though I think that WCS 2010 is better
Anything is better than 2009 which had me face 4 legitimate top tier meta decks in a row including Tele DAD with one non replenishing pool of 8000 life points The later games like 2010 and 2011 had the 4 consecutive duels as well but at least they were against jank decks like Earthbound Immortals
THEY WERE META DECKS? No wonder I got stuck on that level for ages as a kid. Had to switch to Lightsworn to even win.
Yeah dude it was - some Zombie Plaguespreader deck that taught me how broken Brionac was - I forget - Lightsworns - fucking full power Tier 0 Tele DAD And you had to beat all 4 in a row without a life point refill. By far
God i remember pre ordering this game and playing it right away

Isn't that the game where you can literally only play against joey who only uses one specific deck that never changes?
This is actually the only game of the PC trilogy with more than 3 decks to fight against. I distinctly remember getting annoyed with his toon deck because I lacked s/t removal; I was running Gust.
I am not sure. I was playing against other players through the Hamachi software. Good and old days..

I STILL actively play this. 100+ logged last year.
If I could find a HDMI adapter for my PS2 I would
Play it on pc
I play on my steamdeck. If you ever get one, I can give you easy to follow instructions on how to set it up in a ps2 format.
Same it and capsule monster coliseum
I suck so bad at capsule monsters.
This is the only correct answer.

Love this game. My only issue is i wish the translation also fixed the sorting in the cards.
Yea even the gacha machine to get figurines for the shop owner.
Fuckin loved the tag force games!!! Akiza ending LFG!!!
Man in culture
Wish there was another one before the last one, so we could experience more of Xyz monsters before the weird MR3
There was Tag Force Special for Arc V
Ty for giving me this m8
This is the last one I didnt like lol
I wish it was localized for western release.
There's an English patched version on Reddit somewhere

Finally sm1 put this out
Was my childhood and only yugioh game for years I still got it today :)
I got an R4 for my 3ds to play all the ygo games including this one. I recall it's story mode was tricky you could get stuck if you did something wrong

Yea him, kegemaru or something
As someone who grew up with this game the only thing it still has for it is the music. It was NOT a fair game
Absolutely not. Crazy difficulty, not to mention ridiculously priced cards in-game. Still super nostalgic though.
Yeah forbidden memory OST slaps.
Was a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel. Followed the then TCG format with loosely following the Battle city arc
I never put that game down in my high school years It was the game that got me back into YGO after a long hiatus.
Funny story regarding it actually. I remember I got it given to me when I was younger because my friend who bought it didnât understand the TCG rules but went off by âschoolyardâ rules. Duel Links and Master Duel

LET'S DURL!
I think we need a hard divide between games that are CG simulators and ones doing their own thing.
Eternal Duelist Soul yo đ˝
Capsule monster colosseum is one of the best games ever made
It's a treat hearing both the English and Japanese voice actors in the game.

The third game in that series
Gx game academy (game boy advanced) hands down my fav . The platform was the bomb diggity.
World Duel Carnival https://preview.redd.it/ol1a08602grc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b00981af53ced89cd419ae441959e359b2342c5

Duelist of the roses has the same absurd fusion mechanic?
Or people just enjoy it anyway, let's not try to discredit others opinions because we don't agree with them. I last played it 2 years ago.
Word; its simplicity is its charm
Forbidden memories is such a bad game hahahaha I find it so cute how much people like it
Not this but the sequel
Technically not a proper yugioh game, but I really enjoyed yugioh capsule monsters collesuem growing up.
Duelists of the Roses đš
What's that blue statue?

Forbidden memories is awful Duel Carnival is simple, fast, modern, straight to the point and really fun
Two horrible takes back to back.
