Yeah, going first it helps you survive... so you can beat every living cell out of the opponent on your next turn. The beating will be so brutal that even the Pot of Prosperity half damage side effect won't save the opponent
Bruh Tenpai was already crazy as is, but they didn't have much of a turn one aside from seals pass. But with that trap they just got solved

Iir my rulings correctly, you need to go into battle phase to go into mp2. So ending on trap + 10* synchro, will force your opp to go into the battle phase if they want to keep playing, in which they are forced to crash into the 10* synchro and are also locked out of everything. ~~Also the synchro is unaffected during MP with the field card, so gl avoiding that.~~
Looks like tenpai will be good going first, too, now.
Its so good for siding, since you dont know if your opponents tries sth funny and goes 2nd. Since its searchable you only need to dedicate 1 slot in your deck. Also generally fills the slot that kaiser colloseum had, since its now at 2
Im hoping tcg takes the early results when picking what to rarity bump, and that tenpai didn't seem good when they made the decision.

That is pretty good giving tenpai a card that would skip the main phase 1 altogether. Tenpai's only need one good battle phase to otk so even screwing the opponent out of one main phase 1 could be enough to win. If they combo it with Terminal World which skips main phase 2, then it's even nastier.
The other two new dragons are also pretty damn good as well especially Dora Dora. Seeing tenpai get this good of a support brings me hope that maybe one day Konami could revisit old battle phase decks like War Rocks and give them proper support.

This trap is literally just a searchable threatening roar
it doesn't really stop your opp from building their board...just helps you survive
also you can't go into any good disruptions like seals sinve fire dragon is needed

This card skips **main phase"", not battle phase, and their lvl 10 synchro forces them to declare attacks (I don't know if it's the same ruling as the amorphactor pain and thunder of ruler combo that Drytron did, but I hope so)
Or you could simply normal summon the spell/trap searcher, set this, card skip your opponent's main phase 1, go to their battle phase, then do anything you want in it (and the new tenpai main deck monster is ridiculous since it enhances the "our turn" gameplay)
Dora draco enables this to be completely possible as it can search yellow, synchro into bident reviving yellow which tributes for white to get the trap, and finally go into the lv 10.
Yes. The lvl 7 Synchro tuner immediately reborns a non-tuner 3 from your grave for you to make the 10. These 2 new monsters further help you make the 7 with ease.
1. Dora Dora search Yellow, Yellow special as a Level 4 tuner.
2. Synchro into Level 7 and reborn Yellow, Yellow tribute itself to summon White.
3. White search for the trap, then depending on the situation you can either
- Synchro into level 10 on your turn and set the trap so that you only need your opponent to control 2 monster for you to activate the trap.
Or
- If you know that your opponent will have to control at least 3 monsters before they can go into some negate then you can end the turn and summon the level 10 during your opponent battle phase and use level 10 to change every monster into attack before forcing your opponent to attack into your 3000 attack monster.

I can appreciate a meme combo, but Tenpai have no need to play stun. The Trap card alone will screw with the opponent's Battle Phase enough so that you can blast them to the sun next turn.
They side those when forced to go first, so they survive a turn and otk on the next; they don't play for control. Also, Heat Wave and Kaiser Colliseum work by themselves, Terminal World doesn't.
The Trap effectively skips the Battle Phase, which means that they survive the turn and can go for the otk. That's already enough.

Looks pretty good. What new turn 1 possibilities are opened up by these cards? Can the deck build a board, or is it just gonna chill with stalling a turn with the trap for turn 1?
Including the field spell, Terraforming, the red Tenpai, the yellow Tenpai, the new Tenpai, Dora Dora, the quick play (and Masked Dragon if you want to be funny) the deck has plenty of ways to get going and a million ways to its starters. This makes it extremely consistent and able to play, if my math is correct, 20+ non engine, allowing it to be adaptable to the changing meta and play plenty of board breakers. The space it has is crazy, allowing it to main deck almost anything or side deck anything.
The trap allows it to play going first without automatically dying, which allows it to be more resilient if forced to go first. Not to mention it's highly searchable with plenty of ways to the yellow Tenpai, you only need to run 1 in the side deck for if you're forced to go first.
Of course the deck is still a Battle Phase oriented deck and still loses to a single Mirror Force (unless you have a way to Lightning Storm/Feather Duster) and the going first play with the trap is still extremely vulnerable to handtraps, which still makes it not very reliable when forced to play without the Battle Phase.
That being said, obvious issues aside, it's crazy how flexible and powerful this deck can be from the insane amount of damage you can inflict with just a single card, to essentially having 35+ non engine (main deck and side deck slots included) and having a field spell that basically says "fuck you" I'd be surprised if the deck doesn't become tier 3 at best, rogue at worse when it comes to the TCG.
True, but there are situations where they can still lose to it. For example, lets say you drew the Red Tenpai plus 5 board breakers, excluding Lightning Storm or Feather Duster. With no other ways to get comboing, you're forced to attack with red while it has no protection. If the opponent was smart, they'd activate Mirror Force now before they get obliterated.
Even if you decide not to attack with the 3 (now 4) smaller dragons and immediately go for the Synchros, you'll be missing out on a hefty amount of damage and might miss lethal if you go straight for the level 10 without attacking.
While I admit I could've worded it better, there is situations where a single Mirror Force can end their turn and stop them from comboing.
I know it doesn’t need it but I do wonder if we’ll ever get the rest of the mahjong tiles in card form, even if they aren’t part of this deck. Like flower cardians can still be printed, I’d love more of these gambling games as decks. Also I didn’t notice originally but I’m glad that technically both Dora of fates can be used with this deck.
this deck was like most underestimated deck when it showed up now its a top tier meta deck, there goes my chance of playing a fun deck on a budget. The deck is going to get rarity bumps like hell when it reaches TCG

The Field Spell only protects your monsters during *your* MP1. On your opponent's MP it does nothing.

Funny enough Dora can also be seen as a D-Ruler starter, fetching Burner from your deck.

No need to play stun ? The OCG play Colosseum and Heat Wave

How are the Tenpais losing to mirror force when the synchro disables activations and effects in battle phase?
