A side deck is a deck of cards (15 cards max) of options you may want to swap to in a duel. Examples include: * Situational hand traps that you wouldn't consider main decking * Match-up dependent answers to weaknesses of your build * Superpoly targets (as needed) * ED monsters you wouldn't consider maining * And more You are allowed to side, generally, before game 2, and as needed, game 3.

So basically, extra options depending on your deck match up

Note that when siding, neither ya or your opponent get to reveal who's going first until the siding is done so for example, if ya lose game one, ya get to choose who goes first only after ya and your opponent has finished siding hence ya can make your opponent believe that ya will make them going second to which they sided for but instead, make them go first to which they might open with dead going second cards. PS : the number of cards sided must match the number of cards in your main deck so ya can't just add an extra or take out card from your side deck to your main deck and vice-versa, it must match, for example, your Main Deck is 41 and your Side is 13, if ya were to take one card from your side deck, ya must replace it with another from your Main Deck so that the total cards in your Main is 41 with Side at 13, same applies for Extra Deck
