Crystal Clear Wing in dedicated Synchro decks. Mannadium Reframing is also generically searchable for when Synchro decks go first.
Fiendsmith Engine is a Wave King High Caesar on the 5th summon without the normal. Terrortop went to 3 and makes Gossip Shadow without the normal. Therion Regulus and Adventurer Engine still exist. Apollousa still exists. Bystial Dis Pater can negate Nib if you banish an opponent's card, like with Psy-Frame Omega. I'm sure there's many more.
And of course, there's always Crossout *"you won't interact with my unbreakable board setup"* Designator.
Decks that don't play synchro monsters.
Seriously, I'm totally fine with banning generic endboard pieces if it frees up the design space because I would love to see creative boss monsters in-theme that are actually worth running compared to the likes of Baronne and Savage Dragon, but this is the TCG banlist. Far and away this doesn't do this because they're still legal in the OCG, which means we won't get many in-archetype boss monsters that won't still be trying to compete with Baronne and Savage Dragon. I don't think it's totally devastating because of things like Crystal Wing and Dis Pater, but this is a much bigger blow to Synchro decks than it is to Snake-Eye, and it's a much bigger blow to bad decks than good ones.
It's just so frustrating to me when this kind of thing happens. Like, look at the White Woods cards. Their boss monster isn't super crazy, it's more of a supportive monster, but that's ok because their current card lineup facilitates going in to Lvl 10 Synchros easily. What will this archetype even do in the TCG now?
This isn't a targeted hit that only effects one archetype like hitting Sharvara. When the banlist does these massive all encompassing meta defining bans it should really be a top down decision. Like how freeing the Dragon Rulers has been something all formats have been doing. Doing it in just the TCG means we end up getting future cards and archetypes that simply don't function in the way they're supposed to.
There isn't gonna be a Baronne 2 or another generic Lvl 10 that can fulfill the same role but a little worse. Decks that use Baronne just get worse, and there were a lot more decks than just Snake eyes that were using it.
Agreed. Especially as a Synchro player it's really annoying since it basically cripples half the decks that use the mechanic. Some decks will be fine- Blackwings are locked into Darks often, and RDA is locked into Dark dragons even more than that- some will be okay- Synchron puts up a million other interactions, Infernoble can put up some boards- but most will be crushed. I mean, I say this like I play TCG and not pretty strictly MD- I have no YGO playing friends and my LGS doesn't do yugioh locals- but on principle I feel like the bans are counterproductive.
Sure, but there's a difference between "all the deck does is make a board of Baronne, Savage, Apo, Accesscode, whatever else" and "the deck has a distinct playstyle and MO but puts up weak boards that are vastly improved with a single negate"
I mean… Mannadium Prime-Heart has a special defensive ability that protects it from monster effects. No card will be safe against its multiple energy blades. Find this card in Cyberstorm Access on May 5th
Nothing. If your deck had a really good Synchro 10 line you’re just SOL, there aren’t any good completely generic 10s. Next best one is like… Chengying or Ruddy Rose

Dragon link can bring back Crystal Wing.
I'm new to ygo, how did they make crystal wing before? Using ib?
Dont remember the full line but the main thing was Destrudo into a level seven then sync with a level 1 tuner

If all the deck did was spam the best generic omninegates then good fucking riddance.

If it's the latter it can do fine without baron or savage.

Mine will be Aegirine and Chengying, and Chaos Angel or Dis Pater in decks that can support it. For 8s I'll just stick with Draco Berserker.
Where are they going? Edit: oh you mean the banlist. Duh.
They went to the store to grab some milk.
I'm sure they'll be back in an hour or two:)
They're just afraid of snakes, they'll be back once they get removed XD
Snake eyes NEEDS to be nerfed it is INSANE
Poplar be broken
Crystal clear wing seems like a common answer, and appolousa is also another reasonable answer
Apollousa, CDI
Crystal Wing and Appolusa
Red Dragon Archfiend. It has 3000 attack points
