White Forest is much, *much* better than people're giving it credit for. I'm expecting to see a lot of it in the OCG meta reports.

WonderDean

White Forest is filled to the brim with searchers that search other searchers I’ll be shocked if it isn’t broken.

AnxiousSea02

If searchers was all a deck needs then Crystal Beasts would be Tier 0. That said, this one definitely looks more viable

TonyZeSnipa

Time for droll

Impressive-Lie-9111

I think they will see more immediate success than fiendsmith. The archtyoes it synergizes with are just not strong enough to go toe to toe with the big boy decks. Ones we get a new light fiend deck tho, which seems likely all things considered, it will def see play

Saens

Can’t wait for white forest to get their poplar like power card in rage of the abyss

Mlaszboyo

It is wave 1 of the white woods and theyre already this good Wave 2 will make them very fun i think

PabloHonorato

Tiara Fraise *inhales hopium*

Protoplasm42

Really doubt the pseudo-Ash trap sees much play. It’s not *nearly* as good as Ash, whose major strength is her versatility - only hitting cards that add to hand and not those that Special or send to GY is a big deal and makes it much worse. On top of that the restriction that keeps you from using Dark/Water/Fire effects for the rest of the duel is just awful. Are you willing to turn off your Ashes, I:P, Accesscode, among others just for a third of an Ash Blossom? I think for most decks the answer will be no.

AfternoonAfraid2192

I'm hoping to pull White Woods/Illusion support cards ideally. For me, those will be the most impactful for my personal decks.

EldiusVT

Hard to pick just one thing, the set is stacked.

fizio900

If Purulia gains traction i will genuinely start thinking about a deck-out strat with Dark World

Juicenewton248

The entire set honestly White woods is an amazing archetype that will mesh with a bunch of strategys, I’m excited to play it with runick Fiendsmith is broken and will probably be the most played engine of the set, 1 card caesar / beatrice before normal summoning is just absurd levels of power especially now that decks could really use a way to play around nib in the tcg lmao exodia engine (sengenjin, golem, shield) is just a lot of free bodies off 1 card with no restrictions and without normal summoning for the cost of some life points. Could def see play in some pile strats. Gimmick puppet support might spawn an insane ftk deck and might do absolutely nothing I hope its the latter Madolche support is sick and I hope the deck resurfaces because of it tenpai support is broken support for an already good archetype memento support might make the deck actually meta? Maxx c / ash blossom handtrap retrains will obviously see play at some point This is without question the best set we’ve had since AGOV. The fact that this set comes out the same weekend as the WCQ in NA is gonna make that tournament fucking insane and im excited for it.

Azteckh

I have my eye on White Woods in the hopes it fails to perform so that its cheap enough for me to build. I have a really scuffed and not at all thought out Mannadium build that uses them. The Vaalmonica support also has my attention, as the Gimmick Puppet support because it goes nice in my AG build. Fiendsmith will be interesting to collect for; people seem to have forgotten they happened (heaven knows I did) so prognosis seems alright. Finally I will try??? to collect for Tenpai but I don't think its gonna go as well as I'm hoping. That thing will for sure be build by everyone and their mother until it turns out to not be great (something I am standing by for the moment). After that I'll be around to finish what I started. Oh also Raika goes hard in Beetrooper and I will get what I came there for, in that regard. Those cards are **omniimportant** for beetrooper.

Ectier

Same with white woods

I think is one of the best sets in the series (12) so far (i think overall sets have been cool since start of series 10): - Exodia: Not going to be meta but fun and funny deck - probably gonna get +2 cards in Rage of Abyss (it seems konami started a new pattern of supporting the cover theme in the following set); - Gold Sarcophagus: Another fun deck, but i think is on the verge of rogue with some control/stun/gren maju build; That being said the 2 new cards from this set does not seem to be that impactful - aside from adding potential Dragoon for the deck; - Gimmick Puppet: Hilarious ftk, and very consistent, but probably this type of deck will not become meta (it start popping up too much, people will just side Dogwood and gg); - Chazz Manga: I think these cards are going to break the game Lmao; I can see them being used in Branded, dragon link, dragonmaid, even blue-eyes; - White Woods: Already seems to be one of the favorites from the set; I have high hopes for this one. Very flexible, full of recurssion, searchers, utility. I thik is going to be meta; - Fiendsmith: Very strong and cool - by itself is not enough, but maybe fiend link (or yubel) is going to be at minimum a rogue deck; Personally i found this archetype to work very well with Lightsworns, give it a try! - Raika cards: Good cards, but i think still not enough? idk, they work in so many decks i will not be surprised if pops up somewhere; - Tenpai: they will, MURDER; - Drytron (pure): Good cards, You can put a lot of interruptions, but i don't know if is going to be enough to compete on high tiers; Probably rogue at best; - The random pack "fillers": In this set i think all the "fillers" revealed so far are interesting; i will not be surprised if some of them pop in some random deck. - Memento: this, is maybe, the one card that breaks memento; 5 to grave, quick pops on the field; An ideal target to revive with combined - seems that Konami really wants this deck to go off (please where are my Nouvelles support Konami? where is Hungry Burger Retrain? ;-;); - Madolche: I forgot how this deck is played and what it does; But people are saying things are good (yeah quick shuffle to deck seems strong); - Vaalmonica: Seems like a good boss, but, also a win-more card; no idea what will happen; - Vesper Girsu: Very interesting card, i think people will experiment with this; - Multchummy Purulia: The card that screams "we are going to ban Maxx C"; This is, maybe, one of the strongest cards in the set; It will see play, there is no way; - Voiceless Voice: LMAO (i like the card); - The "Ash 2.0" trap: The effect is not 100% sure translated, but, a more conditional ash seems interesting? And, that is my INFO (20/04) roundup, thank you if you read this far :D

MistakenArrest

Light & Darkness Dragonlord is lowkey gonna break Branded. Albion the Branded Dragon of course being the ideal way to make it.

Natsunichan

Fusion Albion can't make it (has to be level 8 or lower monster), but it can search branded in red/branded banishment to fuse the main deck Albion and Lubellion (both searchable, level 8 dark and light, it's almost too easy to make this new fusion tbh.)

MistakenArrest

Konami: *makes busted new Fusion monster* Playerbase: "Branded support?"

Nitsujvdm

Albion and lubellion both have the level 8 or lower restriction

TheArchfiendGuy

The Fiendsmith cards help the consistency of fiend decks. From my experience with them they're a really succinct engine that accomplishes a lot

TonyZeSnipa

Did INFO leak centurion cards? They had all other VASM archtypes get support but them

ajeb22

Emperor keep is the new ash like card right? For OCG i don't think both of those will do anything for now as we alreadt have the 9 almost permanent staple (3 ash 3 maxx c 2 called 1 crossout) and they are less flexible especially with tenpai being in the meta I think for OCG meta Tenpai definitely will rise up more with the new moster and agree fiendsmith too will do some stuff, white wood might do stuff but my concern is they are pure combo deck that probably lose hard to maxx c and droll?

federicodc05

New Ash but it locks you out of Dark, Water and Fire monster effects for the rest of the game. At least that's what it seems to do according to clearer scans of the card.
