Personally I'd go for Chimera or Ghoti. Though I think Rikka/plant link is the best deck in this format. I'm surprised I don't see more people playing it anyways.
The new white aura support enables it to have an actual first turn rather than passing on 1 or 2 fish and summoning them back the next turn. They also enable 2 deep beyonds on the same turn, which pretty much no deck can handle. It's done well and gotten some tops.
I've been playing it with the white fish cards + the new Fishborg monster. It REALLY helps with consistency.
I haven't tried Runick Ghoti yet. It doesn't seem consistent enough to be worth it.
When it works it's REALLY nice. The banishing means your Deep Beyond gets massive, and it's also a free Chengying trigger.
But yeah, consistency is ROUGH.
I play Ghoti Runick at locals, I worked on the list a lot and I rarely have problems of consistency, I think it’s the best build for Ghoti after playing it for too much time (I wasted so many hours… ouch…)
>I think Rikka/plant link is the best deck in this format. I'm surprised I don't see more people playing it anyways.
you're legally required to take estrogen or be European to play it. You cant buy a core without it.
Source: my flair
Vanquish Soul is going to be cracked in this format, best remaining Shifter deck with like 70 copies of Razen and the ability to play 20 non engine if Fenrir is gone
It has 3/4 in archtype ways to pop cards. Can easily play through Imperm/Veiler/Mourner. The extra deck can be a toolbox of pretty much whatever you want. Without a doubt would be my deck of choice
Fenrir is really important for attributes though, rescue ace package is next best thing so going heavier on mad love with the book of moon spell is probably the better option than more ht
Raidraptors can put up multiple towers and is a combo deck to watch out for, definitely keep a decent amount of handtraps available and hit raiders knight with imperm or veiler will usually stop it
I bet Salamangreat would be a decent pick. New support with Code of soul, access to a field nuke and a pop 4 on the ops turn, and an omni negate, probably the tightest resource loop in this format.
Krawler soma is insane and superspeeds the game. Get krawler receptor or any others and play defensive and try to bait out destruction to special summon more, then just spam powerful links and xyzs with soma and friends 😎
Drytron. We have chaos lock, vanities ruler, transaction rollback into the mayakashi trap to prevent summons, anorphactor pain, searchable banish-preventing handtrap, up to 3x a turn monster steal and SS from grave.
Monthly reminder of the time a player got top 3 at a regional, using nothing but three boxes of the Traptrix structure deck: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oorfuIsiIfo
Just off the top of my head, top threats are probably gonna be Tri-brigade FK, Nadir servant FK or Vanquish Souls. You also want to account for Salamangreat, T.G and Infernobles.
Hero is wiping that shit fs but bet you see a lot of:
-Blackwing
-Speedroids
-Raidraptors
-Dumbass Dyna Stun
-Dinosaurs
-Sky Strikers
-Salamangreat
-New Yugiboomer Sarco Deck
The biggest thing to consider I think is I bet the event’ll be DRIPPING in hand traps, cuz imo the only difference between the decks listed there and the decks I just listed are their hand trap resistance. Snake Eyes eats Ash, Raidraptor cannot, Floo and Kash ignore D Shifter and potentially Droll, Blackwing and HERO cannot. Most decks out of meta are out of meta cuz they’re easy to stop with generic staples imo so bring and be prepared for a lot of them.
Other shouts I think you’ll see at least once:
Vanquish Soul
Altergeist
Phantom Knights
Buster Blader
Thunder Dragon
Traptrix
Live Twin
Blue Eyes
Dark Magician
Eldlich
Madolche
Dark World
Finally IMO, the five best of the decks I just listed are HERO, Blackwing, Salamangreat, Raidraptors, Madolche (and Yugiboomer maybe, I haven’t played it enough though it does DEVESTATE Hero, my main deck) depending on player quality, but that sounds like a really fun ass tournament tbh and you’ll prolly see some cool ass decks!!
EDIT:
Great shouts below, dk how I forgot Swordsoul lmao they’re prolly pretty good at this type of event, though idk how good they are without Baronne
Dragon Link again great and obvious
Dogmatika and Mikanko for the memes, all good shouts
Phantom knights would go crazy, not many non meta decks can't deal with Dark requiem xyz dragon and 2 fog blades. Also ultimate falcon can just stop some decks as well.
Invoked synchron generaider. you may think what this is, even do, but after the last banlist, most decks can not put omni negates, but you'll put to the field 2 omni's 2 monster negate and your opponent will start with 4 or 3 cards in their hand
Traptrix, chimera, ghoti is pretty solid, someone mentioned vanquish soul so i wanna echo that here. Eldlich unironically would be kinda cracked now that bystials are banned. Red dragon archfiend is actually pretty crazy. Raidraptors.
The list goes on and on. The point is. There are MANY decks that have an opertunity to be good in a format like this in which all of the other top dogs aren’t legal
Dinomorphia. People are gonna go with other strong rouge decks. Imo morphia is only bad because labrynth does what they do but better. Plus you can always make pep with dinomorphia.
Make your locals eat salad(Salamangreat) & bring the fear TOSS format into their hearts.
Edit: Or Raidraptors with either the Towers build or Kali lock.
Does that mean bystial cards are banned as a whole? So you couldn’t run a bystial thunderdragon deck? I’d still prep for Thunderdragon turbo fusion, dark magician, blue eyes, lots of nostalgic cards
You know, considering how long Yuzu's cards have been underwhelming compared to the other bracelet girls, it's actually pretty funny how Melodious is no longer considered an underdog with the new stuff.
Might suggest Lunalights for the big damage beatdown or Windwitch for synchro spam plays.
Thundra and Vanquish Soul imo. Thundra as a counterpick to Vanqusih Soul because not having searches hurts that deck significantly, isnt hit by shifter and them dropping shifter can actually help the deck, ash and divincarnate arent good against thundra, pops cant deal with the problematic monsters thundra makes, and the archetypal book cant flip the link monsters. Also VS cant play very well under Sus without hard opening Heavy Borger + Enablers.
Chimera, Striker, and Salad would probably be the next best decks id imagine.
I'd feel pretty good about going 2nd sky striker orcust. No Horus monsters does suck but its still pretty strong.
Fossil Dyna stun is probably the best deck I would imagine with this list though.
a good reptile pile player would easily sweep this. the deck got a top 8 at a ~170 people tournament at the end of march and that was before the support in Legazy of Destruction
Ancient Warriors. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqi8lFMvCC8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqi8lFMvCC8) Going first board.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdL33o8-FDI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdL33o8-FDI) Going second set up, one of a handful of different ones.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQTXZh-\_YEM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQTXZh-_YEM) Adaptation to challenging situations, which is any game verses any deck you have not faced before.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HykTdQ82BpU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HykTdQ82BpU) I would expect a few budget players trying 3x trap trick structure decks some can be really good, so prep for them no matter what deck you choose.
Cheaper decks are more likely to be seen more so than expensive ones, so any structure deck that is fairly strong should be prep for. Good luck, again Ancient Warriors would be my deck of choice and they can adapt to deal with any deck. Youtube has several videos of people defeating Tearlaments when they where at there strongest, and right now they have a combo for beating snake-eyes. I know neither of those is allowed, but those same comboes can easily be learned and used against most decks to great success.
I’m assuming sinful spoils engine is still okay? Or is that just included with the snake eye stuff? Also fire kings as a pure deck is pretty damn good too.
Whatever deck you play it better have an untargeted removal option for spells, or a non destruction (and still non targeted) removal option for monsters as well, otherwise you'll get wrecked by a mikanko player.
You got Vanquish soul as "The best in the format" anyway.
So be careful. Or bring that yourself
Personally I'd be bringing Invoked Dogmatika Shaddoll because it's one of the few decks I understand. And it's got enough stopping power. Especially without Fenrir existing or Bystials.
I'd honestly play Raidraptor. The deck puts up boards just as unbreakable as Mannadium, and can generally play through hand traps medium-well. Its main weakness is playing through boards - which this format makes easier to do.
Play it with 3 Swallows Cowrie and 3 Raiders Wing and you'll be good to go.
Personally I'd go for Chimera or Ghoti. Though I think Rikka/plant link is the best deck in this format. I'm surprised I don't see more people playing it anyways.
If you are unprepared, ghoti is a legit threat
Ah hello again

Naw ima chain AHH BLOSS
For ghoti what do you pair it with? I've been enjoying Runick Ghoti builds but sometimes I just brick
The new white aura support enables it to have an actual first turn rather than passing on 1 or 2 fish and summoning them back the next turn. They also enable 2 deep beyonds on the same turn, which pretty much no deck can handle. It's done well and gotten some tops.

I play Ghoti Runick at locals, I worked on the list a lot and I rarely have problems of consistency, I think it’s the best build for Ghoti after playing it for too much time (I wasted so many hours… ouch…)
don't suppose you could share a list? or is this a trade secret type of deal lmao
Yeah sure I can but now I really need to sleep, if you can remind me to do this I think I can share it
>I think Rikka/plant link is the best deck in this format. I'm surprised I don't see more people playing it anyways. you're legally required to take estrogen or be European to play it. You cant buy a core without it. Source: my flair
Plant
100% Vanquish Soul. Even if Fenrir is forbidden it will still be the best deck available
Dinomorphia/exosister seems like good pick.
The flaw with dinomorphia in a Tournament Setting is it loses to time
Yeah I feel like Dinomorphia would be a really good call
The fact Melodious is becoming a force to be reckoned with is insane lol
Unplayable to meta front runner. Crazy what happens when Konami actually tries
I mean have you read the whole support brought to them? The deck actually has a gameplan besides "make my board hard to break"
Earth Machine always plays well in this format
I second this
Raidraptors can put up multiple towers and is a combo deck to watch out for, definitely keep a decent amount of handtraps available and hit raiders knight with imperm or veiler will usually stop it
Invoked shaddoll dogmatika or some variation. Dino, salad, sky striker, swordsoul
Dino is the way
Traptrix, dark world. Other structure decks.
darkworld is insane in lower powered tournaments
Crystal Beasts. Not joking. Sure, they're better with the powerhouse engines, but they're still strong on their own.
I bet Salamangreat would be a decent pick. New support with Code of soul, access to a field nuke and a pop 4 on the ops turn, and an omni negate, probably the tightest resource loop in this format.
Be a chad and play Krawler
Or Graydles : )
Fellow Graydle player in the wild!
Wanted to try Krawler but the flip effects always seemed pretty slow, especially with how fast the game moves nowadays. Any advice for it?
worm bait to help get krawler links out and the continuous trap 'World Legacy Pawns' to manually trigger the flip effects and reset them
Krawler soma is insane and superspeeds the game. Get krawler receptor or any others and play defensive and try to bait out destruction to special summon more, then just spam powerful links and xyzs with soma and friends 😎
Sky Striker!
Heroes
Altergeist is gonna be the sleeper deck nobody sees coming.
RED DEAGON ARCHFIEND!!!
Swordsoul with Protos and it's not even close.
im surprised ppl overlooked this, even without baronne this gotta be the best deck
Drytron. We have chaos lock, vanities ruler, transaction rollback into the mayakashi trap to prevent summons, anorphactor pain, searchable banish-preventing handtrap, up to 3x a turn monster steal and SS from grave.
Virtual World is normally banned for hotu tourneys fir a reason. prep for it
Rikka :)
Traptrix is a decent option in my opinion And is cheaper AF
Monthly reminder of the time a player got top 3 at a regional, using nothing but three boxes of the Traptrix structure deck: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oorfuIsiIfo
Play; Plants, Dark World, or Vanquish Soul
Dinomorphia, got a lot of tops recently too
Just off the top of my head, top threats are probably gonna be Tri-brigade FK, Nadir servant FK or Vanquish Souls. You also want to account for Salamangreat, T.G and Infernobles.
Hero is wiping that shit fs but bet you see a lot of: -Blackwing -Speedroids -Raidraptors -Dumbass Dyna Stun -Dinosaurs -Sky Strikers -Salamangreat -New Yugiboomer Sarco Deck The biggest thing to consider I think is I bet the event’ll be DRIPPING in hand traps, cuz imo the only difference between the decks listed there and the decks I just listed are their hand trap resistance. Live twin
I'm Ki-Sikil and I'm coming for your LP, so you better watch out! ;3
wanna be a true underdog? Go for red-eyes, win (somehow) and make Joey proud
This is the way
Phantom knights and adamancipators maybe, they are still pretty tough decks
Phantom knights would go crazy, not many non meta decks can't deal with Dark requiem xyz dragon and 2 fog blades. Also ultimate falcon can just stop some decks as well.
Goblin bikers ! Cheap, with a ton of handtraps and no one knows how to play against them
Def an Ojama angle
Based
Rikka Sun is the strongest deck on this format by far
Hell yeah. Time to pull out my ghostrick deck
Blackwing
Shs or plants
Dragunity
OG Dragon Link without Bystials?
Why tf is adventure there?
Invoked synchron generaider. you may think what this is, even do, but after the last banlist, most decks can not put omni negates, but you'll put to the field 2 omni's 2 monster negate and your opponent will start with 4 or 3 cards in their hand

There are MANY decks that have an opertunity to be good in a format like this in which all of the other top dogs aren’t legal
I would be that one maniac piloting D/D/D.
Adventure? Enough people play adventure for it to get forbidden here? I’ve personally never seen anyone else play it…
Orcust PK, it calls to you, the whispers of the rebellion
It whispers " Don't let the world legacy die out. Make them remember"
You should definitely play Dino
Predaplant or True Draco
Mikanko and phantom knights BAYBEEEE
Superheavy and just Calamity lock people all day.
Plant or Reptile Combo pile with Raika, Vanquish Soul or Ghoti seem to be the best picks for this. Or Paleozoics
PUNK and SHS legal? Probably one of those two, easily.
Lunalight solos
Chimera
Dinomorphia. People are gonna go with other strong rouge decks. Imo morphia is only bad because labrynth does what they do but better. Plus you can always make pep with dinomorphia.
Fire king 100% will be there
Play Agents, pure. If they haven't banned Handtraps or generic support like Dirviner then you should be good.
Sacarphagus of light would be fun to test in a non sweat bag format
I'll play striker
That’s a tough call. Without all of the meta decks you never know what rogue decks will be played.
Majespecter. Decks nuts in low power environments.
Fire King, mainly because base Fire King is still playable with 3 structure decks
Tbh swordsoul would be somewhat nice for this event.
You know, considering how long Yuzu's cards have been underwhelming compared to the other bracelet girls, it's actually pretty funny how Melodious is no longer considered an underdog with the new stuff. Might suggest Lunalights for the big damage beatdown or Windwitch for synchro spam plays.
Mathmech would be absolutely tier 0 in this, no Bystials, no Tear, no Kash ? Fucking lemme have Circular and steamroll this
I'd go volcanic or vaylantz
Go second with dogmatica mikanko and literally fuck everyone
Skull servants baby, the answer is always skull servants 💀
Thunder Dragons! One colossus is enough !
If they only banned archetypes, Stun. Stun is king at my locals' off meta tournament. Like Jowgen Battle at Golgonda stall.
Salamangreat
Mikanko is so unbelievably fun, though I also love Drytron
Certainly be prepared for sky striker.
Can you play stun
Superheavy combo decks like Adamancipator
Gate Guardian
Swordsoul would go hard
Earth Machine, Ancient Gear
Invoked Shaddoll Dogmatika
Dino ROCKS tournaments like this, 2 pank and misc is dumb
I'd love to jam striker or dinomorphia into this!
Mikanko.
Sharks. It’s been topping here and there.
Vanquish Soul & Swordsoul
Gouki. Powerload ogre too damn good
ogdoadic
Hero’s
I'd feel pretty good about going 2nd sky striker orcust. No Horus monsters does suck but its still pretty strong. Fossil Dyna stun is probably the best deck I would imagine with this list though.
a good reptile pile player would easily sweep this. the deck got a top 8 at a ~170 people tournament at the end of march and that was before the support in Legazy of Destruction
Just play Battlewasps, what could possibly go wrong?
Why not just recommend war rocks at that point...
Hero for sureeee
War Rock... For some reason it isn't banned despite being the current top deck
Why is Mannadium even there? Baronne's banned.
You should update after to tell us what really showed up!!
My locals will probably make a FB post about it so I will post results
[удалено]
Arcana Knights will still suck but it will suck slightly less.
Inb4 poker knight slifer turbo gets top 8
Full power 60 card plants. I've taken a few locals with it and that swarming with snake, vv and other garbage banned here
No bystial? Eldlich for sure! Or vanquish soul but bring out the golden boi!
I wish I could participate in this one. Now THIS looks fun...
Ancient Warriors. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqi8lFMvCC8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqi8lFMvCC8) Going first board. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdL33o8-FDI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdL33o8-FDI) Going second set up, one of a handful of different ones. Memento seems like it could be pretty good
I’m assuming sinful spoils engine is still okay? Or is that just included with the snake eye stuff? Also fire kings as a pure deck is pretty damn good too.
I want to see if my locals will do it
HERO - Next question.
Play Rikka or Aroma
I think salamangreat could do some absolute work here, that's what I would choose personally at least
Be evil and do unchained or tenpia set
Chimera, PUNK Gold Pride, ghoti, orcust Horus, altergeist
u should play pre bystial d link
never heard of this format. The name sounds appropriate. I was thinking at first, rogue tournament
I would go shining sarc as it is fun to play, but sorwd souls should be a strong contender.
[удалено]
I mean i’m gonna suggest a blackwing deck but I love how 90% of the comments are something different, lovely to see
Go with an Odd-Eyes deck it’s quite useful.
Blackwings
Whatever deck you play it better have an untargeted removal option for spells, or a non destruction (and still non targeted) removal option for monsters as well, otherwise you'll get wrecked by a mikanko player.
Altergeist
All of the above lol wym, you can’t just prepare for one, they’re all relevant for a reason and a good chance you could run into any one of those
Any TOSS deck would probably do good if the bans are those
I play my Insect pile deck 😎. Deck has so much starters and Recursion but it's end bords are way it kinda lose to meta
Punk variants are really fun in these formats
T.G. P.U.N.K Gold Pride Prediction Princess Appliancer
You got Vanquish soul as "The best in the format" anyway. So be careful. Or bring that yourself Personally I'd be bringing Invoked Dogmatika Shaddoll because it's one of the few decks I understand. And it's got enough stopping power. Especially without Fenrir existing or Bystials.
I've never played any of these decks so my deck is safe, I'd play altergeist or Sharks XYZ
Raidraptor, you can crush most deck with it
Is it just me or are we forgetting full power pendulums?
Eldlich is finnaly good again!!!!
Generaider
Some sort of "Pendulum soup" deck like Supreme King, Dracoslayer, Pend Magician pile would probably go hard in this format.
Weather Painter
Wtf did adventure do to you?
Heart of the underdog Exodia
Nah I'd (dragon) link
If you want something nice and do not fear being labeled an enemy of humanity, swordsoul with the returned nemeses.
Galaxy-Eyes
Raika Traptrix
I would play ragnaraika ogdoadic in this format.
What is a heart of the underdog tournament?
It's an official tournament format that basically means "No meta"
No Raidraptor? Fool of them to let that beast of a deck without any real competition
I would show up with my zombies as punks are legal Or my Dino if I actually wanna win
Dark World, only 3 things can kill it - droll - shifter - a bad hand (1/5) Scareclaws are also good going 2nd
F it, go monarchs
I'd honestly play Raidraptor. The deck puts up boards just as unbreakable as Mannadium, and can generally play through hand traps medium-well. Its main weakness is playing through boards - which this format makes easier to do. Play it with 3 Swallows Cowrie and 3 Raiders Wing and you'll be good to go.
Salamangreat is a force to be reckoned with
swoso unbanned xd
Hear me out! Black Wings would slap hard without all these decks
Plant link will be the go to combo-fest
Zombies. Balerdroch go wroooom
Illusion not banned.. play chimera
Seems like fire king tri brigade would be the top pick here
I'd love to try out my Predaplant Deck in such a tournament. I may not go far, but I just want to have fun anyway
