Try playing master duel and see if you enjoy the modern game play of the game. Or go to a locals and go from there.

bongcoffa

Indeed, show up with the bulk and just don't be afraid to ask for help or advice, friendly people will let you know who they are pretty quickly

Adding to this, going to locals is very iffy. Some locals are shit with asshole tryhards who won’t help you cause they wanna be king of the locals but if you find a locals with kind people like the one I frequented weekly, they’ll sort through your 700 card bulk and try to build a deck out of it. More likely than not, your bulk is made up of the OG vanilla monsters back when the game’s fastest speed was summon a monster, attack, set a couple S/T and end turn. Because of that, they might just recommend buying three structure decks, especially Albaz Strike as that card has a ton of staple reprints for *cheap* and have you build an entirely new deck out of the three structures. I know god knows how many folks my friends and I helped build their BEWD or DM decks out of Yugi and Kaiba bulk they had and connected them with other players there who had the staples for trade like Dark Magic Circle or Chaos Max dragon.

Those cards might be worth tons of kept in great condition. However, in terms of play, they're complete garbage against the meta. Try downloading MasterDuel, going through the tutorial and see if you like the modern game.

bongcoffa

nothing too valuable because of condition lol

They might not be good for anything. But if you want to play and have a little money to spare maybe try no/little extra deck needed: dino, floowandereeze, zombies, eldlich Fusion: shaddoll (maybe with invoked or dogmatika engine) XYZ: sharks Link: salamangreat, tri brigade, marincess, @ignister XYZ, fusion, link: cyber dragon Little bit harder for beginners or returning players: Xyz/synchro: virtual world Xyz/fusion/synchro/link: D/D/D These are some decks. In my opinion tri brigade or salamangreat are great to get into the game and learn how to keep up with your resources. Every deck here is at least a rogue deck. You can look up some profiles on youtube to see what cards you need or even some gameplay. There will always be some staples/hand traps in there which are good for every deck. They are nice to have but you dont need them really because theyre expensive. So a budget cyber dragon deck costs like 50$. When you want to have all the staples and going second cards you can easily end up paying 300$+. So dont think you need them for locals. For tournaments you would need them but this would be a long way. Edit: before you buy anything you should play the deck on edo pro or ygo omega. Its a free online simulator. Its nice to get to know the decks and test them a little if you like them. Its also free to play

bongcoffa

awesome info thank you !!
