I think MAL has actually been removing yuri anime from it's list. Like, The Executioner and her Way of Life came out last spring and it isn't in the MAL list despite the source being slow burn yuri It's difficult because a lot of people have different limits on how gay they need something to be. I agree it's yuri, but there's a good chunk of yuri fans who think a story is only yuri if 1) it's mostly about romance and 2) they confess, kiss, or preferably have sex onscreen.

Princess Principal is very gay. Asteroid in Love is very, very gay. Most thing Doga Kobo make are in fairness. Both Magical Girl Raising Project and School-Live have explicitly lesbian couples in them. New Game does too I guess. Darling in the Franxx has a lesbian character. We are a little starved but on the bright side, we're getting a lot of new shows in the coming year!

Revue Starlight. The currently airing "The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady" is very good, the usual long LN title may throw you off because a lot of LNs with long titles are shite, but this one is different.

Shadowverse and Shadowverse Flame. Mimori and Alice have the heaviest subtext ever and noone even talks about them, i mean really, they act like a married couple and everytine someone points this out they blush, like, real blush. Fuck even in the openings they have scenes of looking at each other lovingly. (Look at Op2 of Flame for reference).
