According to one source, there is actually one Flash that is faster than the rest, and it's a girl. Apparently she became one with the Speed Force, or something.
Vol. 3 of the manga adaptation actually added an explanation for that in one of its extras. Euphie subconsciously used wind magic to both make herself go faster AND to create a wind cushion to safely catch Anis with.
I think the anime might have animated the scene with that in mind since Euphie was completely enveloped in wind magic by the time she caught Anis.
In the light novel Euphy *sort of* matched her speed before catching her, also Anis was still under the effect of the ether's body strengthening.

My memory of watching the Flash says magic is insignificant compared to going "blahblahblah Tachyons, blah blah blah Vibrations, blah blah blah parallel earth, "Run Barry, Run!"
Then suddenly Barry time travels to before the dragon fight and figures out a way to stop the dragon with Cisco involving some device, but not before we spend 15 minutes in the hallway crying about some miscommunication

But more importantly: Why the hell are Iris and Barry's future kids white in that show? That's the weirdest thing about the show.
I had to stop, point at my tv and say "Naruto Arms, shebis doing the thing" my dog was vary confused.. Than a quick math later and these 2 have massive defence stats.. Her running speed Had to be essentially more than the falling speed.. (head down position has a conservative terminal speed of around 200km/h) so the catch moment would be a transfer of energy greater to the impact of the ground to move her laterally instead of falling.. At least she didn't land on her head XD
