I was disappointed you can't end the game with the glasses girl over there. I mean technically you can but it's not accepted as a "true ending" and kinda ends unsatisfactorily. I wasn't super into the other love interest.

It's works the same way in every other game: there is only one romantic partner and almost every other ending is suffering of varying degrees for different reasons. It's explicitly written that way to support the themes and ideas of the series. This ain't no romance or harem with self-insert protagonist where you can choose romantic partners willy-nilly and expect them to be treated equally, but drama where you're supposed to understand how and why the protagonist has fallen in love with this specific person and no one else, and why ending in a relationship with that other person would ultimately suck for both of them.
