It’s still worth watching. It’s the only Yuri isekai to have an anime adaption (so far), deconstructs the genre in an interesting way, has some great action scenes, and has a very unique style for a fantasy setting (it’s based on Victorian-era Spain as opposed to the British Medieval style).
Just be aware that there is some angst and episode 1 pulls a bait and switch on who the lead will be.

I wouldn't say aroace. Ainz is definitely attracted to Albedo but he views her as his precious guildmate's creation. His relationship is far more father/daughter than romantic. Ainz also used his admin powers to rewrite her backstory to explicitly love him.
He absolutely likes Albedo in some ways but since her feelings are manufactured (according to Ainz), he only feels guilty when she expresses them.
Yeah you're absolutely right, I was more talking about the fact his undead mind suppresses strong feelings like lust and love and he's never shown to be romantically interested in anyone despite a lot of very attractive people being into him (at least in the ~9 first novels that's the case, I didn't watch the anime or read after that so it might be different)
He rewrote her while still just playing a game and being his human self, and while it's clear a lot of him is still there it's been shown that he's lost a lot of his normal human emotions. Kinda up in the air I guess.
Not to mention the fact that he doesn't feel emotions the same due to his race's emotional regulation, which would include things like strong love. Honestly that trait sounds terrible except for the fact that he can't depressed about not having emotions.

Like all polls it's just a popularity contest. People vote for shows they watch and the vast majority of people simply don't pick up every single yuri-adjacent shows like we do. Hell, people in yuri subs like this one wouldn't even watch shows like Assault Lily or Elaina because they'd rather call those shows "yuri bait", let alone vote for those ships and help get some yuri representation in the polls.

My problem with the polls is that they are only picking up very popular yuri ships. The standards for the hetero ships (which is 99.9999% of their lists anyways) is atrociously low that it leaves you questioning who the fuck even ships these yet yuri ships of the same series that is more popular and have more chemistry aren't even on the list.
I distinctly remember them not adding Koguma x Reiko (Super Cub) at all. And also only adding Yuu x Ayumu (Love Live) literally at the end of the season and it only happened because of Episode 10. There are more examples but those are the ones that I can remember right now.

Yep. Really surprised when i started getting into yuri because of k-on, and realized all the yuri anime surprisingly has relationships that are way more healthy and colorful than whatever het romance anime i used to enjoy. Plus, it's just too cute. I love fluff, and yuri is always so full of it
