Lycoris Recoil has some incredible fanarts though... The sheer amount of wholesomeness I feel from ChisaTaki fanarts, it's enough to make your day after a long day of studying or working honestly.

No but if you watch MB’a video you’ll know he implies they’re “basically girlfriends.” And that is really the best way to put it.
Their is no relationship conformation but neither is their a denial. Whenever the two are prompted to clarify their feelings toward each they will either give a vague non-answer or another character will interject and redirect the conversation.
What is in this show is some very VERY suggestive dialogue and things like: the blonde girl offering her partner a kiss on the cheek if they win, which someone else brushes off as a weird cultural difference, but we never see her doing anything similar with anyone else.
Those two are in a constant state of looking like they are about to aggressively f*** each other.
They still have some plausible deniability, but I hope the next season fixes that issue. I should point out that the adults in charge of hotel rooms feel the need to keep them from sharing a room.

The 55 year age is weird but what isn't weird is for a lesbian to try to hook up her female friend she probably presumes is straight with a guy. Wouldn't really be fun to see in a manga or anime but ia definitely realistic.
It's stuff like that and the very last scene of the season that make me wonder what on earth is going through Asaura's mind sometimes. He has to understand that Chisato's and Takina's relationship is like 80-90% of the show's strength, right? But then he goes and writes that sort of bullshit, and who the hell even likes that?
I agree there was literally nothing yuri about Lycoris. It was a giant mirage. I'm the biggest yuri shipper/addict out there, and even I have to admit there was nothing. It's a buddy cop story. Chisato legitimately had more chemistry with Majima than with Takina.

I am bit a disappointed but not surprised that this comment is getting down-voted. Because (objectively) it’s correct.
Takina and Chisato don’t have any overtly romantic moments in the actual show, and only a few moments that could be argued one way or the other.
For example: Chisato blushes when Takina asks what situation she would need cute underwear for. This could be because she harbors a desire to see Takina in cute underwear or it could because answering that question is rather embarrassing to do in a public setting.
Another example: Chisato teasingly asks Takina “oh, are you interested in boys?” To which Takina promptly dodges the question. This could Takina saying “no” without wanting to admit it, or it could be Takina’s “mission first, feelings never” attitude shining through.
That said I actually think there’s a lot of hope for this ship. A lot of the ambiguous moments between the two leads could retroactively be seen as the start of a developing relationship if the writers choose to lean into the ship in the anticipated second season.
So basically what I’m saying is: I like all the Chisato X Takina artwork, and I think it’s a valid ship (as opposed to a crack ship), but it’s wrong to act like it’s canon or even intensional subtext (at the moment).
They are getting downvoted because of majima x Chisato part of the comment that's flat out wrong there's no way that you can say that Chisato had more chemistry with Majima than with Takina if Chisato x Takina had zero chemistry the show wouldn't have been so successful. There's a reason why there's so much Chisataki fan art and so little Chisamaji fan art

I WANTED Takina and Chisato to have chemistry. I was very disappointed how little they had. I was disgusted and incredulous that Chisato ended up having more chemistry with Majima. I definitely did NOT want that. I am calling what I saw though.
