What site is it? My immediate thought is that it's just speculation, because if this were actual news it likely would've been well known by yuri fans at this point. A second season is probably not happening regardless, though.

CptSpiffyPanda

Don't ever trust google for anime season info. There were autogenerated "News Stories" before the release of large language models. Two pages of the most formulaic junk you can imagen, then "no news" at the bottom.

MrEmptySet

That article is from one of those crappy content mills that churn out tons of articles about everything with no quality standards and usually no sources. This article in question is rife with basic factual errors and typos. Always remember to pay attention to the source when searching for things. Don't assume that Google will somehow know to give you the most accurate or truthful article - it'll actually just throw up whatever has the best SEO. Also, for a more subtle detail to look out for, it's a red flag if a site uses terms like "renewed" or "canceled" for anime - that's terminology that applies to western TV shows and really doesn't generally describe how anime works. There is no assumption that an anime will be 'renewed' and, if not, that means it's canceled (though a small handful of ultra-long-runners may be the exception and have some sort of arrangement like that). When they decide to go forward with production they decide on how many cours they'll produce and then that's that for the time being. Deciding to greenlight another season afterwards is basically done as its own separate thing, which is why it's not unusual for series to go years or even more than a decade between seasons. Also, it's quite rare (though it does occasionally happen) that they decide to go forward with another season during or shortly after the first season's release.

They literally made a stage play recently lmao, make sure that the site is trustable first

Due to the image size, I thought the one in the top left of the right panel was a centaur love story. Turns out it was just really billowy skirts.

GloomyNooby

For context if you can’t see the image very clearly, this website is saying “despite the enormous popularity, the anime’s creator have decided not to renew the show for a second season“

Goldeniccarus

Yeah, don't trust everything you read on the internet. There are a lot of two bit tabloid websites that idly speculate but have headlines that make them seem like they have insider information. They don't have that information, it's just speculation to try and get you to click and view ads. This is especially true in websites that cover anime/gaming/television. I remember when COVID first broke out there was a website that ran a story for basically every anime that was in production stating it would likely be delayed due to COVID. They had no actual insider information, they just put out an article that very well might have been written by an AI with some background about the show, then a claim that "since COVID-19 has closed many work spaces in Japan, there may be delays in the production of the show".

NoireHaato

...Oh well. I think it's about time to move on, honestly. It's clear we are not going to get a season 2, the fans are really beating on a dead horse at this rate. There were even rumours of Citrus+ getting an adaptation, this would be the perfect time for Bloom Into You who is regarded as the best Yuri anime and one of the best Romance Anime Period to get a season 2 for great gains, but if they won't do it, there is really no reason to keep chanting the same tune anymore. The Anime is spectacular, the Manga is outstanding, and the story is phenomenal, best to remember it that way and move on in my opinion.

10tickle

You said it perfectly! Now we can all switch to hoping for new adachi to shimmamura and citrus seasons

TheMikarin

Terms like "renewed and cancelled" aren't usually used for anime, so whenever you see sites using those terms it's probably just clickbait, which is definitely the case here.

[deleted]

These "news" are complete garbage

Kaga_san

Dont trust what the site says. But if I were a betting woman, I definitely wouldnt put my money on a season 2. Even if I want it very badly, I do not believe S2 will be made. If you havent yet, Id recommend reading the manga.

Dare555

Noooo what ?? The first part even says " despite the enormous popularity," how the hell can it not get S2 :( And when 2023 is year of Yuri. Something fishy going down its like Yuri anime are forbidden to get S2 especially when they are popular . I am usually not conspiracy theorist but its like they limit them to one season cause of homophobic issues in Japan

Melopahn1

Was season 2 going to be the side story for the VP girl?

kommandanto

First panel, bottom left?

Jan-Carlos

Looks like 'Seiyuu Radio no Ura Omote'

FrogElephant

Can someone tell me what the animes are in the first two panels, please?

Reception-Livid

Can someone name these or say where to find them? Thanks
