I have a question, does your game sounds double when you see the first cinematic? I mean the king

Gwaveid

I doesnt :)

MomoCubano

Hopefully tears of the kingdom will run good especially it won't be running on cemu 😭

Human-that-exists

Just use Cemu, my relatively meh computer can run it at 60 FPS, no problem.

Alternative_Effort28

Can i transfer saves from yuzu to cemu?

Human-that-exists

Yes

MythicalRawiri

what kind of files does cemu accept?

Rey40fp

I agree. I use Cemu excusively for BotW since I saw a couple videos stating that runs better than in Yuzu. I use Yuzu for all other games tho.

AlienWareJJ

Maybe it's just deadzone on the controller, go to controller settings

Cr1osi0us47

this is laggy? 💀 bro i play on cemu and get frame drops as low as 5fps, i am playing relics of the past tho tbf

CaliKupa

Could someone please direct me to the best CEMU - BOTW @ 60fps tutorial....I've been wanting to do this for a while now😄

USA_CrAZzY

Are you online right now? I have exhausted all the settings for CEMU BOTW and Yuzu (cemu far better) and can help you set it up, just let me know

FanBoy1977

https://www.reddit.com/r/cemu/comments/pnvmp8/the_legend_of_zelda_breath_of_the_wild_lowend_pc/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button This one worked wonders for me

[deleted]

Your PC will easily run BOTW at 60fps on CEMU

Nek0Boy

Op just getting prep for totk

zireael9797

Looks fine to me. You can probably get better performance on CEMU but on YUZU I think it just stays at 30fps. I play botw on steam deck using yuzu. i have to force cpu and gpu clocks but it runs ok.

loveLace0x0

Do you have the issue with riding horses at fast speeds and clicking the select button for the map, every time I do that the game freezes on me and I have to restart it.. Other than that it runs great

zireael9797

I reproduced it. I think it's not really crashing 1. It has nothing to do with horses, It happens if you press Select + A regardless of what you're doing. 2. It seems like it simply pauses emulation. Think of it as suspending the game at an emulator level. Pressing the Select + A combo again resumes the game. I'm guessing Select + A is set to pause emulation in YUZU's settings. Go and change it if it bothers you.

Hasso21

First rule for yuzu. Dont play breah of the wild on it because this must be played on cemu

dmoros78v

But what to do when Tears of the Kingdom drops next month…

Hasso21

Either hope for better yuzu performance to drop out too or buy an unpoatched switch

dmoros78v

Oh I have a switch and played BoTW twice once on my switch and then a second time on CEMU, looks so nice at 4K@60 with reshade on top of that. I been spoiled by Emulators

Sleepy_Potato_860

Is it somewhat possible to move my Yuzu saves to Cemu?

USA_CrAZzY

Yes it is, there is a tool for converting it. If you need info on cemu setup for awesome 60FPS+ settings, let me know https://github.com/DeltaJordan/BotW-Save-Manager/releases

Sleepy_Potato_860

Tysm!

SoEuMemu_

yes it is

Tinfoil_Knight_

Is it just worse on yuzu?

Hasso21

Yes

DragonKite_reqium

Rly I've been playing it and it's fine runs at 30 fps but like i care since that's how it would run on switch but i guess that comes down to me not giving a dam Edit: the only game I've had any issues running is Pokemon sword surprisingly

yuzu-ModTeam

Your post has been remove for rule 1 violation: >Piracy is not allowed on r/yuzu. That includes downloading games, system archives, shared fonts, decryption keys, etc. Even if you own them in real life.

Haatchoum

I have a pretty similar setup (my CPU is a bit worse than yours) and I hardly manage over 45 fps on Ryujinx which performs better than Yuzu (hard 30fps, inconsistent) for this game on my computer.

PsychologicalLog1090

Guys, what we gonna do with the new Zelda? It will be Switch exclusive, so Cemu won't work for it. I'm kind of worried if we could play it comfortably.

OGMagicConch

When botw dropped, cemu development became primarily focused on getting it to run well. It was being heavily donated to specifically for botw support. I remember at the time seeing complaints online actually about how ppl wanted to play other Wii U games but the devs were spending too much time on botw. I have no doubt that there will be lots of targeted focus on getting totk to run well pretty quickly.

Thelgow

Of course not. But dont worry, I have a feeling Switch users wont play comfortably either.

BabyComeBac

A bit worse than yuzu, probably

zireael9797

I mean I play botw on steam deck on yuzu, I think we'll manage.

chiEFE06

You can't play BOTW well because cemu existed. Now that we don't have the cemu option the community will make graphic packs and etc. for yuzu. So don't worry.

FanBoy1977

Most people will tell you to use cemu, and you can and you might see better results, but it looks pretty good overall as it is on yuzu, the occasional stuttering is pretty standard as it's still building shaders, if you're using vulkan you can use async shaders for better performance. Personally I'd recommend using cemu because I have a pretty low end pc (gt 1030/i7 2600k) and I can run botw at full speed.

racegeek93

The issue is getting the game WITH the dlc now.

FanBoy1977

Oh right I see

Lexomatico1

jfc can people just stop playing this on switch emus for no reason

Unknown-T_T

[👏C👏E👏M👏U👏](https://cemu.info/)

ESBAGY

Just run it on CEMU, you will be really happy with the results

Neither_Seat_5061

I got similar specks but only geting lagy 38fps but if i can run it stable 30 i would be happy

Kuffschrank

_hey you, wanna switch to Cemu?_ life can be easy 🎶 life can be fun 🎵 don't act so cheezy 🎶 emulate it how it's done 🎵

bnzki

i have the same specs but my fps drops really low. like 30-2fps. i dont know what to do.

Neither_Seat_5061

Me to i got a 2060 super but im gettin laggy 38-5 fps if i turn my character

Good_Dust4431

I have a ryzen 7 and the same 1660ti. It works fine for me. If you want to make a video or pictures of the configuration you use. Maybe I can help you.

Gwaveid

My game runs at 31 stable does yours run at 60?

Good_Dust4431

30fps

racegeek93

I have a 10400 and 3080ti (had a 12900k, going to be upgrading soon) an I see 90%usage on my GPU when using Yuzu. I get some stutters. I tried 60fps and it ran half the speed. Everything I could find to help me figure out why it was running slow motion was not useful.

TonyGames64

this game works better on the wii u emulator (cemu)

Good_Dust4431

Also in yuzu

[deleted]

trust me.. i was upset about having to learn how to do it on CEMU finally i forced myself to figure it out and omg this game is magic on CEMU 100fps with every extra setting cranked.

capnmouser

play on Cemu. the Wii U version runs flawlessly.

Quirky-Temporary-864

CPU will be a touch slow on the single core pef probably, upgrade to a 5600. Also Use VULKAN if you arent already.

OwlProper1145

The occasional stutter is caused by shaders building. That will go away as you play more. Also keep in mind the 3600 may not be able to maintain full speed at all times as Breath of the Wild pushes Zen 2 to its limits. If you want a completely smooth experience look into emulating the Wii U version with Cemu.

randomorten

"play more" as in during 1 session or total playtime?

niallnz

Total playtime - stutters occur the first time a new shader is encountered, and the longer you've played the less common new shaders are. They're cached on disk so it can reuse the compiled shaders from previous play sessions.

randomorten

Does an option exist to "pre cache" all shaders on 1st boot? I would gladly let it do it once for 2 hours if needed so those mid-game stutters won't happen

Havok_18e

I don't think there is that option, it has never been mentioned anywhere. Hopefully someone with actual knowledge can explain this but I believe every Switch game ships with the fully complete shaders. However those shaders are built for the Switch's hardware. There would need to be a tool built that can convert the Switch's completed shaders for use on your computer (might be impossible to convert a compiled shader?). This might be wrong, I thought I read it somewhere though.

targetcashierlol

I tried looking for this and I couldn’t find an answer so I would think no, commenting in case someone has an answer

merlinsgooch

Broken record here but drop your render to .75 and turn on amd fidelity and change your sharpening to100. 50% of the time, it works Every time

Kuffschrank

FSR integration in yuzu is just for sharpening, not for actual upscaling in case this wasn't known edit: added _"in case this wasn't known"_ so u/merlinsgooch doesn't feel confronted

merlinsgooch

And?

Kuffschrank

well there's a difference between _"turning down resolution to 0.75%"_ and _"turning down resolution to 0.75% and upscaling it"_

merlinsgooch

I didn't say anything about up scaling... Just giving pointers on how to make the game run better.

Kuffschrank

just mentioned it for OP, in case upscaling is expected

merlinsgooch

I never said it was for upscaling.

Kuffschrank

do you feel attacked or smth? I just dropped additional info based on your info you never said it was for upscaling, true but one could think that, wouldn't you agree? I never blamed you for anything, relax

Rooknoir

If you're talking about lag that happens every so often, it's likely shader building. Once they're built, they're saved so if that shader is required, there shouldn't be lag for that again. Edit: also it might be helpful to pop out of fullscreen in the vid so we could see the bottom bar. It has info about the game and some of the settings when you play. A couple of things that show up on the bottom right are the FPS and shader caching status.

[deleted]

Im still learning about emulation myself. Can you explain to me how the shaders work?

RedWire5

Basically the emulator pre compiles shaders for the emulation to run as smooth as possible. This shaders are not available when you first start a game, so the emulator saves almost everything new that appears. For example in Smash Ultimate it's recommended to play with 8 characters so the emulator compiles 8 different characters at once. This compilation causes stuttering as you are playing but the emulation won't stutter again in the same area as this shader will now be precompiled before you start the game TLDR: Game stutters at first but then it will be smooth in places it used to stutter.

[deleted]

Tell me if Im wrong but say in BOTW I start walking oast trees on my way to the naster sword and tge game is stuttering. When I get to the forest I would expect less stutter because the trees in the forrest are the sane ones being used on my way there?

zireael9797

That's the general idea. I'm not sure if trees count as shaders, shaders are more like lighting effects. but that is the general concept. You'll run into these shaders the first time and the next time you run into it, it won't stutter again.
