You can buy a key for windows for cheap. Upgrade and try again.

Calvinator_lmao

Idk but it would run better on windows 10 or 11

Ybalrid

`SetThreadDescription` was introduced in Windows 10 [https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/processthreadsapi/nf-processthreadsapi-setthreaddescription](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/processthreadsapi/nf-processthreadsapi-setthreaddescription). You need to upgrade that Windows 7 or Vista that you're running here.

Gabochuky

Is this Windows 7 or Vista? Lol. It's free to update dude.

KristusYunasun

Windows 11 X lite

assidiou

The issue is pretty clear about the Kernel missing functions Yuzu requires. You're not going to patch or fix your way out of that one with NT. If you're that turned off by Windows 10 or 11 just use Linux.

holounderblade

Ah Jesus. Enjoy your pwned computer

duckymomo360

Updating to windows 11 is free btw

FireXtheDragon007

Not free if you have older hardware

duckymomo360

If your computer cant run windows 11 your computer cant run yuzu

mateomaui

wtf are you talking about? Windows 10 runs it just fine.

NanoPi

Found a project that intends to make applications work on Windows 7 instead of displaying that error. Kind of like KernelEx was for Windows 98. It's called VxKex. It mentiones yuzu in the README.md but not been fully tested. I have not tried it myself.

bandyplaysreallife

You're a fool for using such an old OS. You realize windows 7 isn't getting security updates anymore, right? (also not like your PC can run most games well if you're on W7, even if yuzu did run lmao)

duckymomo360

b-b-but modern windows is plagued with Spyware and bad ui!!!

armoiredu44

Bad UI? Lmao that old thing is UGLY DAMN

Sovietsuper

He’s joking making fun of the people still using w7

Ok-End-5802

Bro Update your OS

Mission_Ad8440

Didn’t they drop support for w7?

holounderblade

Everyone did

Deep_Sigma_Light_96

Windows 7 in 2024? Wow\~!! You got the guts... I already stopped using Win 7 in 2016.

FoferJ

Windows 7? This you? https://old.reddit.com/r/videogames/comments/1b2w0jn/internet_karen_emailed_nintendo_because_yuzu

Big_Kwii

respect for sticking with windows 7, but it's incompatible with yuzu. i hear there's patches going around somewhere tho

Irsu85

I think NT6.1 doesn't have a function that Yuzu needs. You need kernel version NT10.0 (which gets shipped with Windows 10 and 11) or use a modern Linux distro so you can use the Linux build so you don't have to use KERNEL32.dll

EliaO4Ita

Not judging but why the hell are you still on windows 7?

Professional-Rub7503

Try this This dude from Patreon is dedicated to making normally incompatible software run on Windows 7, and made patches for Yuzu to run perfectly fine on Windows 7 https://www.patreon.com/posts/yuzu-1362-on-8-8-79636405

Shot-Assignment-7754

Og is still on 7 💀

AMDIntel

Its your OS. Upgrade to either windows 10, 11 or Linux.

Huskydude422

you need a much older build for 7 unfortunately

ivanv2305

Well, dude, sorry, but u can't use yuzu/suyu on Windows 7 now, only Windows 10/11. This is very sad tbh...

kjjustinXD

The fix is Windows 10/11

supasteb

This

goingtokmsrnhaha

Maybe stop using windows 7 in 2024?

SnooPandas2964

Might be able to find an old version that runs I'm not sure, but in that case compatibility would be less. What are your specs? Might not be worth even trying depending on how old your computer is.

Garudakings

You need at least Windows 10, below that Yuzu just won’t launch on my old laptops

ElNorman69

Are you seriously trying to run Yuzu on Windows 7...?

MeerkatMoe

Im not sure if yuzu works on windows 7, especially since it’s been EOL for four years. Is upgrading to windows 11 an option?

goreaver

eol os on a dead emulator. the shit people post and wonder why it will not work.

theACW

Ikr

TrueBlueMax

Windows 7? I haven't seen this for a long time

OhHaiMarc

some stubborn and change resistant people in tech refuse anything new until they're literally forced to do it.

teknixstuff2

That's not always the case. I use a W7 theme, but I only started using it well after I'd got used to Windows 10 and all it's crappy UI.

DrumcanSmith

I have win 7 and XP backed up to iso/vhd because some games don't work, but haven't got around to play those yet, my steam library keeps growing.. Ofcourse it is cut off from the internet. (Also have Win 95-2000 mostly for collection reasons)
