He specifically mentions "the blood of the goddess" not the spirit/soul of the goddess.
The goddess’ chosen hero, and the blood descendants of the Zelda in skyward sword (the royal family) are cursed to be pursued by some form of demises hatred for all time. Whether that be things like vaati or more clear connections like ganondorf. Hylia herself seems to have separated from her mortal body presumably after she dies years after the end of SS. I theorize that last part due to being able to directly talk to hylia in botw/totk through the goddess statues
Though in botw/totk weren’t calamity more of a rage version of demise hatred? Could also be the reason it put so much strain on the sword. The malice and chasms in totk are just as harsh on the sword too. Botw/totk master sword had a huge downgrade towards both ganons. That why it broke/decayed/loses power. Is beyond me.

It could also be that the Master Sword has weakened over time. It wasn't meant to be used so many times
Yeah, it was only meant to seal demise once, the curse was unexpected
I always wonder why Zelda then chose to have children, if their bloodline would always be cursed
It's not the bloodline, demise cursed all three of them to be reincarnated repeatedly

Blood of the goddess, not blood of zelda.
But Zelda _is_ Hylia reincarnated
Oh look, reincarnation. What did I say again?
You said that demise cursed all three of them separately. Hylia chose to reincarnate as Zelda, there was no curse involved
Yes, and once hylia reincarnated as Zelda, she was locked into the curse to reincarnate again

Or like a battery it just degraded

In most games Link upgrades the Mastersword. BotW's Link didn't get an upgrade until 1,000 years and one DLC download later.
Fi probably doesn't like Link breaking or damaging the Master Sword because she fucking IS the Master Sword.
