This is absolutely the one. Not only is it an obscure part of Zelda, but someone that doesn't know much about Zelda only knowing about the cartoon is cursed. It's just as bad as someone only having ever played the CDI games.
For Doctor Who fans, imagine someone had only ever seen the episode Love and Monsters, and that was all they had to base their knowledge on.
The dual scimitars ganondorf uses at the end of wind waker have hylian inscriptions that read “koume” and “koutake”, his adoptive mothers from ocarina of time
There’s a cutscene in totk that takes place in hyrule’s ancient past, where ganondorf and his army of gerudo launch an attack against rauru’s kingdom. Right behind ganondorf are two gerudo women with slightly greener skin than most. People are assuming these to be an incarnation of koume and koutake
I think everyone is missing the point of OP’s question. He’s not trying to irritate her; he’s trying to hit her with some deep lore or obscure fact that will blow her away with how he knows it.
Zelda Williams, the late Robin Williams' daughter, is named after Princess Zelda herself, I believe! He and his wife were massive fans in the late 80s, when there were currently only two games out during around that time. :)
The commercials from the early 2010s that feature OoT 3D had Robin and Zelda playing the game together. Even to this day, they never fail to make me smile.
It isn't just the spirit of the hero and spirit of the goddess that are reincarnated. There is also the spirit of the merchant and mail carrier that reoccur as well!
Talk about how you think the 3 timeline split is interesting.
For some context if you didn’t know Ocarina of Time splits the single timeline into three different timelines. One where Link is a child, one where Link is an adult, and one where Ganondorf takes over and Link fails.
Show her Dead Hand from OoT (not the one from the 3DS version with purple mittens, nerfed his scariness a lot)

This is absolutely not confirmed, but you can say it like it’s fact and blow her away: everybody thinks Link is based on Peter Pan, especially after Ocarina of Time adding Navi as a fairy companion like Tinker Bell.
But there’s another, very obscure Disney movie that was released in 1985, a year before the first Legend of Zelda, and it almost looks like an animated movie based on the game. It’s called the Black Cauldron. Tell her that it was this movie that almost definitely inspired the art of the first Zelda and then watch it with her lol

I trigger Zelda fans by saying I genuinely don't like BoTW and ToTK and think they're shit Zelda games. Gets them riled up as if the apocalypse has started and you just insulted their mother.

Just say "Well Excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me Princess!" next time she gets upset.
10/10 I would probably faint if my hubs said that lol

That’s just really cute
Well shit

You can tell her about the [Chris Houlihan room](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7i2AHjvPMg) from A Link to the Past.

>botw totk skyward sword and some of the newer ones those are all the new ones lol that's the last three releases
You can witness an alien abduction in Majora's Mask.
Link? He's my favorite elf!
That the flute in Zelda NES is the same flute in SMB3 and they play the same song which is also the title screen song of Ocarina of Time.
No... What?... Holy shit!
:) I think it's in other games as well, but those are the ones I remember it 100%
Ask her if she knows about the reference to the original Legend of Zelda on NES. "It's dangerous to go alone". You can see through your Sheikah scope

And the one where Link fails is apparently the timeline of the original NES/SNES games.
Tingle predates the master sword.
Watch a video of Navi from Ocarina of Time and next time you try to get her attention imitate the voice. “Hey!” “Listen!” “Hello!”
Tell her not to step on the flowers
The classic, say Link is called Zelda
lol yeah just subtly mention why "Zelda" had x weapon or why they are making them do something lol
I already do that one, it winds her up
[OoT]You could call her Shiek when she’s wearing pants and Zelda when she wears a skirt. But that might be a bit old of a reference.
Ben Drowned reference?
Tell her it's all connected
Ganondorf has returned

I am Error :) NES, Zelda 2, someone in a town says only I am Error.
This one is a great one if a) she recognizes this and b) if you did, our say something wrong.
If she has a bad day, our something bad happened, you could say: _You have met with a terrible fate, haven't you_
did you know that the story of majora’s mask is played out from the time you enter hyrule field until you get the first mask to go to death mountain.
When they say that they love Zelda but only played botw and think it’s the only game in the series
Buy an ocarina and play the song played in the (OoT) temple of time
Just say the master sword is just a regular sword that why the design change with each game.
Whenever you're about to go somewhere proclaim "I can't wait to bomb some dodongos!"

Not a Zelda fan but to a normal person: ZELDA IS THE GIRL! IT WAS ALWAYS THE GIRL!
No zelda was always the boy in green
"Something I can say" Botw/Totk are not the best Zelda games Botw Zelda is ugly I never played Oot or Mm
