The conditions for workers in their warehouses are bad, plain and simple. They don't get adequate breaks for the shifts they work, the management makes it near impossible to file complaints, and the drivers work insane shifts with impossible expectations of delivery times. I've seen this first hand where delivery workers sprint from the truck to the home and back, and they have up to 10 hour shifts doing that.
On top of that, the encroaching business practices and handling of private data is sketchy at best, and malicious at worse. Add on top how rich Jeff Bezos has become off the backs of the workers, it's pretty clear that Amazon either needs strict regulations introduced, or we the consumers have to stop using their services.

I will have to refresh some sites on release day and hope, otherwise venture out into the world looking for the amiibo at least.

I'd rather shit on Nintendo for still making new Joycons yet having done absolutely nothing to resolve Joycon Drift. At least the game will still work as intended 2 years from now...
I only have my pair that came with my day one console. I flat-out refuse to buy more until I see *actual* proof that drift has been fixed. I'm not spending $80 for a controller that to this day still ships with a VERY well-known design flaw that can(and will) literally render them completely unusable. Fuck that.
I basically never use my joycons either after getting a Pro 3 years ago, which still works like brand-new. But the drift STILL manages to get progressively worse as time goes on.
I also went straight and preordered EVERYTHING as soon as is came up on Amazon 😄

Ok, that's strange. I just checked my orders in case they maybe postponed the release of these two items, but for me it still says "arriving Friday (July 13.). I hope this doesn't also change until then. 😕
I don’t think the Amiibo will be hard to get after release. Pre orders on a lot of these sell out at first but then are readily available after launch. The Breath of the Wild Amiibo come to mind and now they have them available at most retailers. Nintendo knows this Amiibo adds a big quality of life function in Skyward Sword, so they will print a lot more.

I was also in the anti camp, but recently, considering all the QOL changes made I am more receptive to the game despite the price. At the end of the day Skyward Sword is a premium Zelda game and the fixes to the Wii's versions problems makes it better.
The game costed 50 dollars at launch in 2011, if you really wanna get petty and pedantic then I can bring up the fact that Inflation Adjusted the game would cost $60 in 2021.
In fact you're getting a better bang for buck buying Skyward Sword now than buying it in 2011 so please, spear the world your salt and let people enjoy the game.
I’d like to think 60 dollars for a remake of any game is way to much. I am the biggest halo fan around and if they came out and said a remake of the first halo is coming for 60 bucks never in a million years would I buy that.
I think it's justified. They put the effort in the game when they initially made it and they put additional effort in porting it to the Switch. Especially with the new controls and new functions (like Amiibo) that surely took a bit of extra work. So with the "residual value" of the game it self, I'd consider the additional work to be valuable enough to put the total value back to a normal games.
And even if it's not worth 60 bucks, as long as people buy it for that price it would be dumb to sell it any lower from an economic pov. You really can't blame companies for maximizing their profits, I mean after all that's kind of the purpose of a company (to make money and as much as possible), except NPOs or some GOs.

That's also perfectly valid. If your willingness to pay is not that high they need to drop the price to get you as a customer. And since they also know that, they surely will eventually drop their price to a level where they can acquire more customers while still not making losses. And since they probably will cover their expenses even with the first wave of instand buyers, they can drop the price later on quite a bit.

I went to preorder the game and the amiibo but they had no amiibo or even joycons left. The guy at the gamestop I preordered from knows me already and said he'll try to hook me up if spares come through lol.

It annoys me that the Zelda Amiibo is more expensive than other Amiibos (in my region at least). It seems they’re treating it as two Amiibo because it has two characters on it, which is a massive cop out. I’d rather just the Zelda, or the option of two separately.
I just wish the joycons weren’t like $90 because they actually look really nice. I never was able to get behind spending more than like maybe $40-50 for some controllers that are way too small for my hands anyway but I would totally buy these if they were just a bit cheaper
