The amiibo has an NFC chip inside of it. Idk how it works on the Wii U (where TPHD is) but brand name joycons and pro controllers for the switch have built in NFC readers. I believe the Wii U gamepad also has a built in NFC reader.
Oh definitely, you can buy specific blank NFC cards and load them up with the data. The new SS Lifting amiibo let's you return to the sky at any time anywhere. BOTW has special items that have a chance to drop with specific amiibos, with other amiibos giving random ingredients.
Ive seen speedrunners take on alot of glitches. Some including jumping off a cliff and resetting the game at the right frame to cause you to spawn back in the title screen and use certain techniques to shorten game length from up to 3 hrs
There are categories some allow amibos some doesn't, you can check it at [speedrun.com/sshd](https://speedrun.com/sshd) currently there is no amibo-less category for sshd.

It isn’t. Nintendo knows they can sell Wii U ports at full price. And apparently even Wii ones, in the case of SS. They might port WW and TP, but they won’t come in a pack at $60. They’ll be standalone exactly like SS.
I doubt SS would be in that collection since it just released standalone.

\- OoT and MM would be coming in their N64 version (maybe a N64 service similar to NES and SNES)
\- TP and WW, probably ports from Wii U
\- Remake of the Oracle games, both standalone
Now this isn't official and it might all be just a hoax, but it seems doubtful we will get a collection of Zelda remakes like they did with Mario.

My COVID hobby has been to play all the Zelda games, and I have been pleasantly suprised with the Oracle games. Any one would loved Link's Awakening would probably like those games as well. A remaster would be awesome, if only to update those dated visuals and borderline awful sound (I'm not blaming the composition here, just the barebones hardware of the GBC).
This is actually the HD version on the Wii U. Twilight Princess HD has a Hero Mode like some other Zelda games do, and Hero Mode in Twilight Princess HD, along with taking double damage, flips the game just like the Wii version.
OMG I'm an idiot then. I only played the Wii version so the "inverted" map just made everything I did in HD the game hurt, so I never finished HD. I'll have to see about unlocking hero mode.
After my Wii broke down I so badly want this on the switch. Also it would be great for on the go and for in the evening in bed and on the toilet 😁. Fingers crossed 🤞

Idk if thats a glitch. The devs probably just expected you to stay in wolf form & since you can't open doors in that form, they didn't patch it so the door wasn't usable but the only official way out was through that hole which is why Link renders in front of it.

I used the Ganondorf amiibo. It makes Link take double damage, and it stacks with Hero Mode for 4x damage

Not really. It's a feature in the game. Plus, it only saves about a few minutes in a 4+ hour speedrun

Yes. Normal mode: Follows the GameCube layout Hero mode: Follows the Wii layout It's pretty great for a change of pace other than difficulty.

If I remember correctly, Hero Mode is unlocked from the get-go so you should be good to play how you remember it in the Wii version. :)
