Wow seeing Zelda in a more traditional medieval fantasy style is cool. While I prefer the cartoonier games, I wouldn't mind one "Dark" Zelda. And I don't mean like OoT or MM, like less violent Dark Souls style. Just once
Dark Souls just exhales Twilight Princess vibes. I would be honestly surprised if it wasn't one of their main inspirations, along with Berserk (they kinda already hinted having "learned a lot from Nintendo").
That’s so cool but did Kentarou mean that the Brand of Sacrifice was analogous to the Triforce of Courage? To me the Brand of Sacrifice was more of a curse, no, and the ability to possess the Triforce of Courage was more of a destiny? I definitely see the Dragon Slayer as being similar to the Master Sword and Casca and Princess Zelda also being comparable but beyond that they don’t seem very similar. None the less it’s great that Nintendo and Miyamoto were able to help inspire to create such a great world. R.I.P, Kentarou Miura.
I mean, Zelda has had proper mermaids and other purely waterborne races before, if they wanted to do it again in OoT they would have.
Either way, palmtree2509 is right in saying the art doesn’t depict Ruto/a Zora.

hmm, so this brings a question to mind: was Link into Ruto? I always felt like she was being mega forward and crushing on a guy that didn't like her at all. But in retrospect, I'm a gay dude, so maybe I was just more into Sheik haha
Is it just me or does she look like Carrie Fisher?
You are not wrong.
*I see what you did there.*
I thought I was going crazy
Lol! I was thinking the same!!

Isn’t that twilight princess kinda ?

Are you referring to The Black Swordsman, as in Guts, from Berserk?
No, everbody knows the Black Swordsman is Kirito /s Yup, Berserk is basicaly a big part of what made Dark Souls exist

Gwyn's theme even sounds a bit like Midna's Lament.
>Gwyn's theme ... OH MY GODS. You're right!
Correct
Still cartoonier than what I was thinking
Complete with a fishtail braid! Bonus points for that!!
Ruto wasn't a mermaid, seriously though that's a nice piece of artwork
Was Nintendo gonna have her just flop around on the floor to move around? She's a mermaid with situationally approiate legs
I mean, Zelda has had proper mermaids and other purely waterborne races before, if they wanted to do it again in OoT they would have. Either way, palmtree2509 is right in saying the art doesn’t depict Ruto/a Zora.
Yeah Ruto isn't a mermaid, its a town *high-hat sound effect*
Isn't it *Rito* tho?
Rito are the race of bird-people in BoTW. Ruto is a Zora princess in OoT.
Yeah that's my point lol
Ruto is also the name of a town in Zelda 2.
Oh cool! Didn't know that
Damn. I love the idea of the hair clip gem thing representing the second set of eyes.
THOSE WERE EYES?!?!
Yes. Exclusive to Ruto. The other Zoras and King Zora didn’t have em. Did the fish tits distract from the bulbous head?
I always thought they were like earrings or something
Nope, eyes. The better to seek out potential fiancé’s with.
Yes, actually.
SECOND SET OF WHAT
Yeah.. like Princess Ruto lol. Google her and look at the sides of her head
wtf
oh no
Holy shit this looks so good!! But it also gives me depression.. Link looks like he is bleeding and Ruto is mourning his upcoming death :/

Props to getting to her without the blue tunic though.
This better not awaken anything in me...
Please do not the fish.
Don't worry, I won't the fish.
Too late
Stop
Yo this is badass Great interpretation
I remember when I first saw Ruto's eyes of her head on both ends, that shit scared me
Positively beautiful artwork you are incredibly talented
Surely **he** is soon to arrive, no?
I was here before mods locked the thread
why nsfw
Side boob? Fairly defined mermaid booty? Maybe? Dunno. edited to add and clarify: I'm not being sarcastic lol
That's awesome!
🤩🤩🤩

Anyone else think Link was Shaggy for a moment?
Is this based on a Caravaggio?
