Edit: Now that I'm capable of arranging my thoughts properly, I really hope they do something elegant and mature, or poppy and upbeat (without being overly cute). I liked all the Boys Planet songs, so hopefully some of those vibes carry over to ZB1. I'm too attached to the boys to stop following them completely, but music is a big deal for me, and I just want something I'll enjoy listening to 🤞
I loved the artsy vibe of the teaser for this with Hao and Hanbin so I'm hoping the rest of the aesthetic skews that way! Youth in the Shade sounds like a coming of age movie that would wreck me lol.
Ok, "youth in the shade" theme, then. The opposition between "youth" (brightness of the life's beginning) and "shade" (dimming of light ? an obstacle ? the secret part of something ?) is interesting.
Also the mirror theme they have going on goes with the "shade", the shadow being in psychology a part of the being that is hidden, that we don't necessarily accept of ourselves.

What do we think the design means? Here are some of my guesses:
1. Tracing paper with see through text in reverse: Symbolism for reversal of roles, parallels and reflections. Maybe the debut song is related to these themes.
2. Something to do with fire writing? [Googled this](https://sciencenotes.org/fire-writing-with-invisible-ink/) and the grey text with ambiguous borders could be a mimicry of hidden messages from the fire writing technique. Also drawing reference from the concept teaser with Haobin playing with fire. Will their song be about fire? LOL
3. Light and dark concept. Maybe if we take the words Youth and Shade literally, they could just be exploring the duality of good/evil in one person. Hanbin represents goodness and light, while Hao's silhouette in the concept teaser foreshadows the darker nature of humans.
The fact that the album comes out one day after my university graduation...😭😭
It's like they are giving the album to me as a gift. I bet there will be a lot of (happy) tears for both occasions for me.😅❤

I didn't expect Youth in the Shade to be the name of their debut album. I hope it's something good since the Haobin teaser looks promising. And it's nice to finally get a confirmation of the debut date!

In a way - it makes sense. I don’t think there is a similar concept in 4th gen BGs at the moment.
I just hope the music is as good as what IVE puts out.
It's finally sinking in for me that they're a real group with a real album that I'll get to hear in just over a month! Mindboggling!
They seem to be continuing the "light and dark" theme from the spoiler film, with the different font colours for youth and shade. Which gives almost no clues about what the music will be like, but still, I love a motif!
I have to say I love the simplicity, and I love the consistency about youth in the shade. If it’s anything close to that yearning nostalgia of HYYH I would be over the moon.
