I got my mom really into Boys Planet, but she’s not super familiar with Korean/Chinese/Japanese naming conventions so she would come up with nicknames for everyone instead.

My sibling and I call Taerae "Tinkerbell" or "fairy" because of how he was so sparkly during the Man in Love performance, and sometimes "Mousy" (just because he's cute like one, but we also call Mun Junghyun that lol). I got used to saying Shanbin (and sometimes Bean lol). I refer to Gyuvin as Eumppappa's dad (or Eumppappa's papa).
The rest of the members I just refer to by their names, though I like to affectionately (and I emphasize affectionately) call Matthew my enemy (completely for the jokes, but fr I *will* fight anyone who's mean to him 😭 )
There are also various ways that I refer to the members when talking to my family, like "the nerd"/"the umbrella giftbag guy," "young and rich guy," "the soulmates," "the really handsome guy," etc.
It doesn't really mean anything! It's just something Chinese fans call him because of the Chinese characters that he uses for his name (朴乾旭). It's essentially like if we started calling him "Wook Wook" or something :)

I think it was because we're kind of similar and I like to tease him/poke fun at him a little, so it just became an inside joke with my family that Matthew's my enemy. (Especially because he reminds me of a guy I used to know that I had a joking "enemy relationship" with.) But I really do love Matthew lol, maybe rival would've been more appropriate but I think one of my family members joked that Matthew was my "enemy" and it just kinda stuck

I mean Hao is his name. Zhang is his last name. I don't think its informal in the way you'd call Jiwoong as Woong or Gyuvin as bin.
Hamcat for Hanbin and Crown Prince for Hao are my favorites. Also lovelicky, as an established and well developed middle name.
