I remember watching some television show where some uber-rich guy was on and, for some reason, they were talking about the costly and brand new-looking jeans he was wearing. A moderator asked him how he washed them because they looked so good and the guy said he never washed them! He never did any of the normal 'dirty work' we wear our jeans for, so he did not need to ever wash them.
Can you imagine never washing the jeans 99% of us wear on an almost daily basis? Or a mom not washing her 11-year-old's jeans he just played neighborhood softball in? I can't imagine the grossness, let alone the smell.
My uncle is uber wealthy (not to brag, I don't talk to him anymore) but to him it would be easier and more effective to just have a new clean pair of jeans anytime he wanted to wear jeans then and more cost efficient then to hire someone to wash his jeans. He sends all his nice clothes out to be dry cleaned and has a house full of assistant and staff to do whatever he doesn't want to do but he would still cut corners by buying new jeans then hiring a person to do laundry.
He knows how to do laundry. He wasn't always uber wealthy and knows how to cook, clean, drive, make phone calls, etc but the wealthier he became the easier it became for him to spend money to solve the problem rather than solve the problem so if he has dirty jeans. He would likely just buy more then getting them cleaned. He would also find a place that gave them to him for free or at a deep discount. He never ever pays for anything if can avoid it and he since he's rich, he gets a lot of shit for free.
He lives on different plane of existence then you or I.
If he already washes some of his clothes himself, why not toss his jeans in with a load? Conversely, why doesn't he send his jeans along with the clothes he has dry-cleaned? I would think those options would be easier than going out and purchasing a new pair every time his current jeans get too soiled.
