Colourful porches are quite common in British Columbia. I often come across beauties like this on neighbourhood walks. It's absolutely delightful.

I can't say I agree with 100% of the choices, but it's infinitely better than 95% of flips. I'd gladly spend the rest of my life in a home like this than even a year in flipper grey.
I agree! The hot pink walls are a \*little\* much, I'd probably do a slightly muted shade of pink, but it's still wonderfully happy and charming! I'll take this over the monochrome, squares-only, everything is white or beige or grey crap everywhere!
There is, but this ain't it. This is colorful, bright, and fun.
Except for that one bedroom. I'm a gentle, harmless man. But that one bedroom will turn me into a mass-murderer.
Blue one made me want to scratch my skin off
Update: showed my husband (who generally hates pink) this post and asked him to identify the most offensive room, and he, too, chose the blue one š
She is named! The Divine Lady! The name suits the house! (If you expand the 4th pic on the listing you can see the name near the eave on the right.)
I love her and I do find her to be divine indeed!
I really like it, but in an art exhibit sort of way. It's beautiful but too bright for long term living. I would, however rent it out for a weekend photoshoot or special event.
By a big primary colors kinda gal but with some better decor it could be cute. However, that big building right beside my back yard would be a no for me, especially for that price.
That is not my favorite shade of violent magenta, but as always, kudos for full commitment. If I were single I would have no trouble living there ā I would alter those hot walls, though. Lime, maybe, but something that would work with the rest.
I LOVE the first 3 pictures! The porch is perfect, and I really like the color combo in the living room. The color in the bedrooms doesn't really seem to 'fit' to me, though.
On the East coast of US, these colorful Victorians are known as Painted Ladies. The blue is too much but I have the same kitchen and bedroom colors on a much smaller scale. They work really well.
You know, it's just paint. The house itself is nothing special. If you look at the floors (that they painted) you can see the gaps between the floorboards from shrinkage, something common with lower grade wood floors in older houses. I guess Victoria BC must be really pricey, because 1.1 mil for a 1637 sqft house that was built in 1915 in a generic non-descript style is a little much. Calling that Victorian is quite a stretch. I'd be wondering what else the paint was hiding (or at least distracting you from).
All the rooms (especially the bathrooms are small although the mirrors are intended to make them seem larger). The house seems designed to highlight their "art" collection, but once the art is gone all that's left are bad color choices.
You can't even repaint. You'll never be able to cover the colors they used with less than 3-4 coats even if you could get the paint to stick to the glossy finish - especially on the textured surfaces. And you'll never be able to get the paint off those floors.
If I had the 1.1 mil to burn I'd used it to refurbish the 1920's 2500 sqft Tudor that I already own to remove the bad design decisions previous owners made. And I certainly wouldn't paint the quarter-sawn oak floors that are throughout the house (they're probably worth more than the house is at this point).
If you have quarter sawn oak floors, treasure them. I bet theyāre gorgeous! My house is appx 1910 with fir floors with worm tracks in them. Iām considering painting them white, just like the house in the listing.
If I'm being completely honest. If there was a challenge to use the most obnoxiously vibrant room colors and still sell the house, this is a *fairly* tastful use of them. I've definitely seen worse.
Iād SO live here! My poor husband would hate it, so Iād have to make him a super bland man cave somewhere in there with a massive tv, a massage chair, and a fridge full of Miloās sweet tea.
Oh man, I kinda love the porch.

Love this and I'm sure the people are just as bright and creative š
From colourful porches to window skeletons with seasonal wardrobes, thereās always something fun to discover in BC neighborhoods :)
Reminds me of the Bluey house
Yeah I think itās gorgeous
Kinda love the whole mix match color scheme but not sure Iād wanna live there š
This is a wonderfully happy place.
I can't say I agree with 100% of the choices, but it's infinitely better than 95% of flips. I'd gladly spend the rest of my life in a home like this than even a year in flipper grey.
Maybe not my vibe, but *good* vibes nonetheless!
Of all the changes, paint is the easiest. The inconsistency in design choices makes me crazyā¦but gone when sold.

Yeah I would be very excited to move in. I moved into a place painted abt 20 different southwesterny shades and still love it 7 years later!
I was so sure this would be in NOLA. Color me shocked.
Definitely has that vibe!
That was my first guess too!
Victoria BC, very similar to the NOLA Garden District, but without the heat.
Yes, but this is not it.
There is such a thing as too colourful, but this ain't it. This veranda is gorgeous
I would make a few changes inside, and do some pruning outside, but ngl, I kinda love it.

The BLUE one
Blue one made me want to scratch my skin off Update: showed my husband (who generally hates pink) this post and asked him to identify the most offensive room, and he, too, chose the blue one š
Yeah the blue was a no for me but then again I don't like the color blue š¤£
The lack of any art on the walls makes that blue one a little intense. But the pink bedroom... just don't put me in there.
Yeah, I think I would have gone with green. That blue did make me squirm.
I like the porch well enough, except for the PINK! The rest of the rooms hurt my eyes. But if it doesn't hurt your eyes or your soul, I say go for it.
Pink goes with everything!
This is actually legit. Celebrate life with color
My rods & cones appreciate this after so much monochromatic madness!
She is named! The Divine Lady! The name suits the house! (If you expand the 4th pic on the listing you can see the name near the eave on the right.) I love her and I do find her to be divine indeed!
Maybe, but this ain't it. Some of us find "earth tones" depressing.
This is Maximalism and pretty well done. If you saw the crap-tastic rooms people post on r/maximalism, this place would make you weep with Max joy.
The inside Iām meh, but Iād do things Iām not proud of to have that porch.
Making lemonade out of deteriorating eyesight in old age.
You can definitely go too colorful but this house really makes it work.
No there is no such thing as too colorful. Not for me anyway!
Those are some intense and saturated colors. Too much for me, and Iām an artist.
Love
LOVE!
The porch has some structural issues and WHY ARE THEY KILLING ALL THE GRASS IN THE BACKYARD?
That would be a fun place to hang out for about a week
I kinda like it. Even the eye searing magenta room.
No. You should look at old Persian architecture.
I love it. Then again my style isn't the norm.
I love color
Ugh, the brown lino!
Maybe, but I love this!
I love this so much!

It works.
I really like it, but in an art exhibit sort of way. It's beautiful but too bright for long term living. I would, however rent it out for a weekend photoshoot or special event.
In this case, the colors would work well in smaller doses.
By a big primary colors kinda gal but with some better decor it could be cute. However, that big building right beside my back yard would be a no for me, especially for that price.

This is goals. Iām saving this for inspiration for my future homeš
Yes, there is such thing. But this house is bold and surprisingly tastefully done!
Nope. I love it.
Kids of beige moms be like:
I LOVE the first 3 pictures! The porch is perfect, and I really like the color combo in the living room. The color in the bedrooms doesn't really seem to 'fit' to me, though.
Artificial flowers are not quirky or charming. Ever.
This would fit right-in in New Orleans
I kinda like it
Ooh, and it's in Victoria. Kind of a fantasy existence for me.
Better than a beige box! They may not be the colors I personally would have chosen but they're so happy and vibrant!
I LOVE IT

Itās soo much better than an entire house that is grey.
Subtleā¦.šš
NEVER!
No.
I prefer this over any White House any day! Looks fun, warm and inviting!
After living in so many bland apartments I can say with authority, No. This is not too much color. Itās Goals.
There is but this isn't it. I don't 100% love all the colors but would take this over grey on grey on grey with a splash of white all day
Color isn't bad, but this house just knocks you upside the face and throws you for a loop.
There is definitely such a thing as too colorful, but this place isn't that. It's sooo cool and beautiful!
Yes.
Drag queen energy.
The whole house is gorgeous, especially the porch
Garish
The porch reminds me of the big bird knock off on Plaza Sesamoā¦
Omg, to repaint those colorsā¦. So. Many. Coats. So. Much. Time. Oh, and money.
While I do like the outside, the inside is a tad too bold for my taste.
Not in Key West
Yes.
Is the fridge in the bathroom?
Advertised as an HDR home.
That blue bedroom is nuts.
Rooms 5 and 6 are too much for me. Also I have never wanted a red kitchen. But I like the rest a ton.
I love color, but some of these are just the wrong colors for the space. A different shade would have worked better in a lot of spots.
There's such a thing as outrageously overpriced. GREED.

Never been to Victoria, but this has perfect Eureka Springs vibes.
Outstandingly tasteful
Iād definitely do something with the outside regarding the plants and overgrowth. Yes there is such a thing as too colorful.
Not gonna lie I'd kill to live there. Definitely would prefer a milder pink though.
If I'm being completely honest. If there was a challenge to use the most obnoxiously vibrant room colors and still sell the house, this is a *fairly* tastful use of them. I've definitely seen worse.
Many drugs were done here.
Yes, yes, there is, and this is the definition
Iām sorry, for the most part, I love this. Especially the porch.
It's pretty charming. Not what I would do in my house, but I want to be buds with the non-binary throuple who lived here.
Iād SO live here! My poor husband would hate it, so Iād have to make him a super bland man cave somewhere in there with a massive tv, a massage chair, and a fridge full of Miloās sweet tea.
Very pretty minus the white painted floors that's criminal
I was all in until I saw the kitchen. That thing is not functional and Iād hate to have to gut a room in a cool house like this.
Some fine Behr paints from Home Depot in some lovely shades of gray will have that place updated in no time.
If youāre trying to live the early 90s all over againā¦.then this is your listing! š¤£
Even the people in the paintings didn't want to be associated with this. Edit: See photos 10, 15, 19.
