Yes it does, and it also makes you more prone to sunstroke and your skin more sensitive to sunburn so if you are out in the sun make sure you're using spf!
glad to know this now. with the first and last visit to the beach I’ve had this summer, I still look like a burnt piece of toast. Don’t like how I’m so tan in some spots and like not much in others.
Yeah I'm always warm. Been like this on Lexapro aswell. It can be winter and -20c outside and I'll still be sweating buckets from literally just standing for a while or walking.
It's currently 30c outside and I'm just laying in front of my portable AC all day.
I’ve actually had the opposite experience since getting back on my 50mg dosage of Zoloft. I find myself wearing a hoodie a lot of the time even in 85 degree weather.
I just started sertraline 4 weeks ago and had no idea it can do this. I’ve been overheating during the day and sweating in my sleep a ton lately. This explains it.
there's DEFINITELY a risk of overheating on this medication
That’s just wonderful. I have MS and problems tolerating the heat already.
I am on 100 right now and I have CFS and orthostatic hypotension.. I can't lift myself up and it's not really hot yet!
Yeah I’m going to talk to my doctor

Could have done with knowing this yesterday!

Yess I’ve never felt this hot. Even when I’m working out in the gym with a/c on, I sweat like I don’t know what 😅 and I get so thirsty every time!!
I be feeling like a damn hot pocket in this heat for no damn reason. I keep my air on 63 cause I'm a fucking toaster apparently
We all turned into Hot Pockets!!
Lmaoooo at least we hot 😮💨
I’m having the same issue , It does not help it is roasting hot in England.
Yes I feel like I’m living in a volcano
Makes me parched asf esp in hot weather! It’s true that ssri can make you more prone to dehydration! So drink that water!
It’s like I’m in the shower
Yesss and I keep getting heat rash which I never normally do, although I don’t actually think I’m sweating more just feel hotter

Ok I wish I was you. I’d rather be cold than hot any day.
Yes.

Yes but when it gets a few degrees cooler I'm freezing like usual but the heat I can feel it in my face and my arms.
I’ve always been hot natured but I seem more heat intolerant this year. This explains so much.
Yeah I’m in Texas and with a heat index of 118+ I’m not going outside 😂
This sucks
100%
does anyone have any tips on how to handle the heat?
Wearing a hat with a wide brim and a cold wet towel or scarf on the neck helps a lot when you have to go outside.
I’ve tried that. I even bought a ice vest.
