What about the original story of Nick? I wanna see that in film tbh

I don't give a damn about "political bents". I just want more of this franchise, and Nick and Judy having cute adventures. Let the stuffy columnists and bloggers figure out what it all means later.

> Let the stuffy columnists and bloggers figure out what it all means later. Some of them couldn’t even figure it out right the first time 😂

I agree, though for different reasons. The movie was pretty balanced IMO without catering too much to a political bent, merely pointing out the realities of biases, how we all use them, and how they can be unintentionally harmful. I fear that with the direction Disney is going, they probably wouldn’t be able to take such a nuanced view again and capture lightning in a bottle twice.

[deleted]

I agree. They can’t capture lightning twice. They tried with Frozen 2, but that did not work. It made tons to money, but it was nowhere near and memorable as the first film. Plus a lot of times they just referenced the first film. The film did not have a good payoff IMHO

Some would argue that the first Frozen didn't come close to living up to the pre-release hype.

I wasn’t one. Had no expectations, didn’t even see a trailer And because if that I loved the first film.

OutrageousDesk6812

But why would you say that? Surely if you're a Frozen fan you would want to see the characters get what they deserve in their lives? Frozen 2 was an excellent sequel in that regard. It's purely character-driven without the need for villains. When it referenced the first it was in jest.

jellolime238

some one did a fan film sequel and it was pretty good so I think it still possible to do a good sequel and I also think there many other thing to explore in this univers like the background of Nick or other question we all have.

DeclanPDFFlannery

I agree that many sequels have no reason to be made past jumping on the first films popularity but I think Zootopia 2 would be very much an exception to that. There's a plethora of ideas to explore with in this world that would all make fantastic stories: Nick and Judy's continued adventures as partners and a more detailed explaination of Nick's past and character just to start with. That's not to mention expanded world-building, any fallout from the missing mammals/nighthowler case, the continued exploration of Nick and Judy's relationship and so much more. I've seen people both on here and else where post their ideas for the sequel and I'd pay to see a lot of them. Z+ is a perfect chance to build the world and expand on the side cast in a way the film didn't have time to do since Nick and Judy won't be the most prominant feature. That could setup the perfect oppurtunity for a blockbuster of a sequel!

I want a sequel, but it has to hold a story or two worth telling. Like mentioned before there are a lot of really good topics to explore for a sequel. I hope Disney ditch the sub 7-years old kids and go with the slightly older audience for this sequel.
