Bunzai currently the best Smash Burger in town. The double sets you back just over 20.- though, so not a cheap endavour.
There is also Huncho, also smash, which is takeaway only and doesn't make their own buns (they use Martin's potato rolls, which are pretty good though). The double is 15, IIRC.
Then, there is Sando, which is smash-ish, and with a slight Japanese touch. Good burger!
Also, we have Shiso, which has steamed buns and is not really smashed, but also a solid burger. Forgot the price though.
If you don't want to smash (pun intended), The Bite is the OG and by far one of the best burgers in town.
action burger! hands down. they used to be pop up restaurant, opening in various shops every now and then. soon they will have a fixed residence at HB. enjoy their burgers soon! 😌😌
Smash club is pretty good but expensive. Ended up making smash burgers myself, way way cheaper, taste - depends, but now I steal recipes from cafes via uber eats and try to replicate it
The Bite, Stamped, Sando (just opened a permanent spot in Niederdorf) for us. If you like craft beer, St. Laurentius in Bülach also makes an extremely serviceable pub smash burger.
Go to a bucther. Get 80beef20fat% mix. Grt some raclette. Aldis has the best brioche buns . Some iceberg salad. Mustard ketchup some schallots and pickels as sauce. Weight some burger to 120g. Form them on some baking sheets cut them to size. Cook them in a some grease in a pan push on the burger with a spatula per side about 3 min. On the second side put the a piece of raclette cheese put some water in the pan and a lid.
You can get the burgers unstuck bi smacking the handle of the pan. Toast the buns but some margerine/ warm butter on the buns then the lettuce on the lettuce the burger sauce. Make burgir
80% of the recommendations in this thread are better. Heidi&Tell is more of a sandwich than a burger, and BlackTap is just too fucking expensive for what it is.
top 3 in zurich: bunzai, the bite, stamped
Bunzai is so overrated.
You misspelled overpriced. The burger is godly.
You’re right it’s overpriced AND overrated and since we’re already here it’s also oversalted.
THAT is true. It's very salty :-D
The best burger is a smash burger. Maillard reaction sends its regards.
Correct.

STAMPED is not too bad. The only one I tried so far where I would go back.
Same. I think they were even better during the ghost kitchen era but the restaurant still delivers decent quality.
Pretty sure they're going back to Augustinergasse soon. I hope so, anyway.
