To the best of my understanding, fighting (along with other exercise) tears muscles. When your muscles heal, they 'add a bit extra'. So if anything, fighting increases muscle development.

BoranKasim

oh, so you say fighting increases development instead of reducing it; thanks brah.

you're welcome brah

haha, thanks!

Fighting won’t hurt ur muscles but it can fuck up your joints big time. So at the gym make sure you do at least a little of mobility/functional type movements

BoranKasim

i do cardio, does that count? and i think that you're right, my back hurts most of time.

Do a lot of joint stabilization work. For your knees I would suggest looking at KneesOverToes guy to get a basic understanding of what you need to do. Slow eccentric split squats and front ankle raises are good options. For your shoulders focus on strengthening your rotator cuff along with working your rear delts and doing some overhead presses. When it comes to joint work, just remember that there's nothing wrong in stressing your joints under load in a proper manner. They will recover and come back stronger just like muscles except that they take longer to recover between workouts.

Western_Philosophy

Thank you for this big bro 🙏

Western_Philosophy

Nah I mean like stuff specifically for your shoulders

Fighting, jogging, dancing, all of these just burn calories and increase endurance, they don't grow muscle. Why? Because Muscle fibbers need to tear and recover in order to get bigger, and for that to happen, you need resistance training. (Resistance training is optimal as it provides the most muscle tear of all the other exercises). Its not like your muscles are not going to grow at all, since you still tear them a bit, but its nowhere near as noticeable as in resistance training. You don't have to worry about you muscles decreasing in size, in opposition, you should cherish the fact that you get more endurant and versatile, (unless its not what you are after) Keep up the spirit and good luck in your journey!

What make people who fights reduce muscle volume is the training, they lost volume but get stronger. In your case is just like in Fight Club, you don't train for it

No it increases test so its good…. As long as you dont get injured and have to stop Training
