Using my Medieval-time-period sympathy, I'm not sad for her because it's normal, this kind of tradition has been on for thousands of years and we shouldn't use our modern moral lens to judge it.

princess rhaenys was the only thing that got me through "the green council". the episode was easily the worst of the whole season for me, not just because of the writing but because we were stuck with only greens for the whole episode. in all my rewatches i've only watched that episode twice.
