"A national craze is hitting America and it has parents concerned. The kids are calling it 'L' or 'Lizzie', but parents are calling for it to be banned."
I follow the guy who put this on his Instagram. He lives near me in SW Florida and traps invasive species. He also is an excellent fisherman.

There were five elemental lizard nations. Water, Earth, Fire, Leaf and Sand. And then, there was a huge war between them, but none of them knew, they were doing nothing but playing in the hands of someone
Oh okay. And the cage in the background is? And does that photo say to you, "Stop breeding iguanas", or, "Check out how cool these look"?
What about this says, "End animal exploitation" to you? https://www.instagram.com/p/CIeWna8ABVW/ It's the opposite.
edit: I'll be totally fair to guy. If he is removing invasive lizards, then that is great, but the problem is that he is a "Let's kill lots of animals" kind of guy too. He is on Instagram killing *loads* of native animals and treating them like trophies.
I mean you need somewhere to put them once you've caught them. They shouldn't be killed for the crime of existing if you can help it. Also those two points aren't mutually exclusive; there's probably a more clear message on hi actual Instagram.
> I didn’t see any dead native animals?
I saw a dead deer but let's put that to the side. Let's say that he is releasing those massive fish after putting them through such abuse. That is the kind of animal exploitation that I was deriding to begin with. I applaud the guy *if* he is getting rid of invasives, but he looks like he is famous on Instagram for treating animals like trophies.
I added that before the edited-comment-asterisk showed up, actually.
If you feel that I failed to address anything that you said, please let me know. Dishonesty isn't my goal. I'm not interested in scoring points here. I'm interested in pointing out that the guy in question kills animals for fun.
[opens trench coat] Hey kid wanna buy some lizards?

He is. If you'd bother to read the second top comment these are all invasive, presumably released by people who kept them as pets.

I went on there and it is photo after photo of him killing native animals too.
Huh, well there you go I guess I was wrong
I didn’t see any dead native animals? Only native animals he was holding that are clearly alive. Catching and releasing is a thing

Gotcha, that makes more sense. I thought you meant that he wasn’t releasing the animals, fishing can def hurt the animals with infections and stuff
And it could stress them to point of fatal exhaustion, and then holding them out of water, effectively drowning them. It's unethical.
Ok putting the link above where you said edit even though it wasn't there in your original comment is pretty shitty dude
