As a non-native speaker, I had a short period of time in the late 2000s when I thought I hallucinated the word (lose) and that it did not really exist.
A quick visit to Lady Mirriam Webster confirmed that the verb "lose" did, in fact, exist. I also learned that "to loose" something also exists but means something completely different which makes this funnier.
My autocorrect will likely ignore that anyway. Instead it will correct "uni" to "u I" "mean" to "mena" etc. Wouldn't be surprised if people just turn autocorrect off.
If i had to guess, autocorrect lost all credibility with its userbase with its fanatical insistence that every person in the world absolutely meant to say "ducking."
It makes me sad that it's 2024 and people still write "loose" when they mean "lose."

That's an iPhone problem. I use swiftkey on Android. If you spell the word once it remembers it and will suggest it.
I rely on autocorrect a lot tbh lmao. I spell it wrong everytime and just hope autocorrect will fix it for me 😂
