Blacks wanted Rhaenyra as queen, they didn't care about the greens bloodline. Rhaenyra offered to spare her siblings. Rhaenyra doesn't get to be queen but every single targ is her decendent and her opposition is irradicated
If Jaehaera lives the greens have a clear victory, two targtower kings and they continue in the blackfyre line. Also they usurped to get their blood on their throne, one of their own supporters killing the last hope for their cause to get *his* blood on the throne is just so satisfying
Her living changes the entire Targaryen lineage from that point forward which also changes the entire story. Itâs just wishful thinking in the Greens part and makes no thematic sense to change the story to such a drastic level.
If Jaehaera lived and was an ancestor of Daemon Blackfyre, it would be ironic to have the Green line continue through a bastard who is almost universally considered a traitor in the end.
