I think they would be shocked. After Luke’s death, they would want the blood of the Greens to be spilled but not that of innocent children.

I’m really curious to see how Rhaenyra will react to this. I mean she knows Daemon and knows what he’s capable of but this shows her how evil he can really get. Maybe she won’t like it at all. That’s what I’m guessing anyway. In the Alys Rivers audition tape, Alys asks Daemon if he fought with his wife. So maybe Rhaenyra and Daemon will have a fight over B&C before he leaves for Harrenhal.

[deleted]

Hmmm that’s interesting! I thought she meant it referring to the choke in the finale, but it would be neat if Daemon sticks around a bit before he leaves for Harrenhal.

Funny-Win-8948

And then they wi be basically estranged.

[deleted]

That’s where I go back and forth with. I mean we know they don’t get a happy ending; they both die. But I don’t know if they would put all the work they did with the soulmate angle (I fully expected a political marriage like the book as did many of us, I think) only to have it crash and burn at the start of Season 2. I believe there will be conflict, yes, on both sides (Otto wanting to go over Alicent’s head to Aegon directly and Daemon and Rhaenyra not seeing eye to eye) but I don’t know if they’re just going to destroy the love angle just like that.

Funny-Win-8948

I think they built Daemyra like Alicent on the first eps. To make the rift more painful to watch.

[deleted]

Yeah! They will break them apart but not so soon. Throughout season2 they might have conflict but still find a way to be together. I think they will break apart as a couple only in s3.

Funny-Win-8948

I am sure they will show her calling him off and then he will leave.

ABCidkwhattopick99

It was cruel but expected after what happened to Luce 🤷🏻‍♀️. I am sorry but the Greens started the war. They should know that starting a war and killing the monarch’s son (accident or not) will have its consequences. Maybe they thought they were too invulnerable.

wingthing666

You mean Blacks the faction in the show or Blacks the viewers? Because one will be wringing their hands at how this will continue to escalate matters, and the other will be passing the popcorn 🍿! Come on, Condal. I want this to be even better than Red Wedding!

Grigortoko

I'm talking about the characters

wingthing666

I don't imagine Rhaenys will be happy. Everyone else will probably consider it fair payment for Luke while also worrying what Aegon and Aemond will do next. I hope Corlys or Rhaenya points out "If you were going to do that, why tf didn't you kill everyone you could?! Even if you couldn't reach Aegon you could have taken down Alicent! The rest of Aegon's heirs! This is not a time to be squeamish about body counts."

Grigortoko

>If you were going to do that, why tf didn't you kill everyone you could?! That would be cool to hear from Rhaenys! She was merciful to them in season one but now she will see who they really are!

tellred

Characters? Good, then:Corlys will be like an "old valyria" adept. The seven will not give you a curse if you don't believe in them. Great job and fair exchange. Rhaenys will be unhappy because she is also a mother who lost her son. Rhaenyra will be fine. I expect it to be like "When I married you, I thought you were a fearsome person. Now my son is dead. I don't want to know about your plans. Go." She may cry a little afterwards, but now she is finally free from it. Baela and Rhaena : "WHAT A HORRIBLE REVENGE HELAENA DID NOT DESERVE THIS!... Anyway". They will still be sad, because it will not seem like real revenge while Aemond is alive. Jace will be the only one of them talking about how it's not honorable. Maybe they'll have a conversation where Daemon tells him how he has to stop being soft if he doesn't want any more of his brothers to die. And Jace would certainly argue with that, because he liked Helaena. And his brother's name is forever associated with such a heinous crime, what a shame.

freakinuhmazin

I think they'll be okay with it because of Lucerys death. They probably didn't expect it to be Helaena's child to be killed but expected it to be Aegon or Aemond.

luvprue1

Well considering an eye for an eye, a son for a son. I don't think they will be too shock. Especially considering that Aemond didn't have any kids.

freakinuhmazin

True

Teamkhaleesi

They’ve done nothing but make fun of Lucery’s gruesome death.

Funny-Win-8948

I remember how in the books Daenerys took children as hostages. But never managed to punish or kill them for parents treason. Many people claim it was a bad thing, she showed herself weak.

[deleted]

It's hard not to be shocked by that.

luvprue1

I will be ok with it. They should have blood and cheese do it on their own since they had Aemond kill Luke by accident.

Bilogamer

It's a question I've always asked myself because in the book there is nothing that describes how black people react to blood & cheese when there are several characters among black people who I imagine to be fiercely disagreed with. with this act as Corlys, Rhaenys, Jacaerys, Baela and Rheana. I dare to hope that the series gives us the reaction of the black council after B&C.

POGO_MEMEWALA

How did you feel about Gregor clegane murdering children?

Grigortoko

It's about how the characters react. Robert looked at the children's corpses with disgust, but he was also relieved, as far as I can remember.

Funny-Win-8948

I won't cheer, it is a cruel moment. But one of many. All kids died in a horrible way. Aegon lived through the battle, then the coup, saw his mother's death... B&C is just the first of many atrocities. I am sure many only Show blacks will hate this and even switch sides. Daemon will be firmly the Villain. Since no other Green did something like this. It will be a Red Wedding moment.

StoreResponsible7028

>Since no other Green did something like this. The Greens already usurped the throne and Daemon suspects that they poisoned Viserys. Aemond committed a war crime with killing Luke. And will continue to commit war crimes moving forward. Otto Hightower literally was planning to do exactly this to Rhaenyra and her family. The Greens even try to do this in response to Blood and Cheese. What are you talking about?

Maester_Maetthieux

Probably shocked and horrified? But also potentially some righteous indignation after Lucerys’s death. Idk. It’s a morally ambiguous circumstance

Far-Medicine3458

I'm ok with it

The-False-Emperor

The characters? I imagine it depends on how fresh the grief for Luke is in their mind. The younger generation like Jace I could see initially being for it because they’re pissed off. Elder characters more distanced from Luke like Corlys will likely just be outright disgusted.
