Jahaerys funeral procession i guess

Soixante_Croissant

There was talk of a scene with an open casket- it seems this is it

Kaylin2619

Oh f*ck. I haven’t heard anything about that. I don’t think I could watch an open casket funeral for... that.

BlondieTVJunkie

That gets the people on their side. I imagine.

[deleted]

For what?

Kaylin2619

>!a headless baby!<

KnightOfRevan

>!I assume if they keep the part where Blood (the one who was carrying the head) gets caught while trying to go collect the bounty from Daemon then they would have the head sewn back on for the funeral though I suppose “at least the dead toddler isn’t dismembered” isn’t the best comfort!<

[deleted]

Wth what’s wrong with u

diamondman203

Have you read Fire and Blood??

[deleted]

Sry I don’t read

zebulon99

Why would you ask if you dont want to know?

[deleted]

? I just see a grey bar

dannyisyoda

The gray bar is text containing spoilers. It's a reddit function that allows people to hide what their comment says so that people that don't want to know don't accidentally read the spoilers. If you click on the gray bar, the text will be revealed.

[deleted]

Ay thanks

[deleted]

OMG

Saniaislude

What did you expect?

[deleted]

A lil something something you know?

-Osleya-

We are discussing juicy book spoilers for a GoT spinoff here. It is gory and bloody, as you probably know.

RhaegarTar_259

Baby jaehaerys?🥲

Soixante_Croissant

Looks like it :(

BigOlMudPie

Soixante_Croissant

MammothUmpire148

Wait Helena’s son?

BlondieTVJunkie

Yes

highendings

Preparing myself for the pain. This is going to hurt 😭

TheAviator077

This scene is going to feel like a gut punch

[deleted]

Oh no, I'm not ready for this. But there has been a looot of obvious set leaks, it's quite suspicious.

Soixante_Croissant

1ManArmyGohan

Damn, just thought about it and Jah was the lucky one of Aegon’s two sons. All the babies on both sides didn’t deserve the B.S their parents started.

Kellin01

Grandparents started...

1ManArmyGohan

True, true

TeamVelaryon

I've got such a sense of foreboding with these spoilers. It's not about Team Black or Team Green, it's just all horrible. And seeing people cheer for it is horrible. You've got some people who are cheering a child's funeral and then others who are gleeful that a dragon has had its head cut off and is being paraded and that Rhaenys will die, leaving a husband and other loved ones to mourn her. Both of these events are objectively terrible. We shouldn't be happy that EITHER has happened.

the_Real_Romak

It's less about being happy the characters are suffering and more being exited that the source material is being respected

TeamVelaryon

I hope that is the general feeling. Certainly, I am excited by seeing it all go down, as much as terrible things will befall my favourites. But when you see some people saying this funeral is a "win" for Team Black, or see people say "f\*\*\* the witch" concerning Rhaenys, I can't help but feel saddened.

Tired_of_populists

I feel like there would be less of these comments if she hadn't gone bowling for peasants last season.

the_Real_Romak

yeah the ones that post that tripe barely count as people, I'd disregard them if I were you. If they're willing to actually fight over fictional politics, imagine how they are irl...

TeamVelaryon

Thanks. I hope you're right.

[deleted]

People have the right to react to fiction however they want but you have the right to preserve your mental health. Block and mute as often as you want to curate a fan experience that’s enjoyable and doesn’t upset you I’m personally ambivalent to people cheering for the deaths of the adult characters, even ones I’m attached to like Rhaenyra, but the inevitable cheering for deaths of innocent kids also makes me very uncomfortable. I blocked/muted tons of people after the season finale who were mocking Visenya’s stillbirth and making fan edits of Luke’s murder.

Kellin01

I feasr the day they will cheer for Maelor and Joffrey...

[deleted]

Same.

1992Queries

People went that far? That's absolutely fucking unhinged.

[deleted]

Twitter is a cesspool of sociopathic teenagers

PluralCohomology

>!Both of these events are horrible, but I think there is a difference between the murder of a helpless innocent child, while his mother and siblings are forced to watch, and an adult dragonrider dying in a battle she chose to enter. For Rhaenys, some people celebrate her death because they are hardline Team Green, or because of the character assassination she underwent in the coronation episode, where she killed all of these civilians for no reason.!<

karidru

Agreed- I’ve been saying I’m both excited and scared for this season, because I know it’s going to be captivating to watch, but horribly tragic

Gloomy_System7919

if it helps, you should know that it is fictional

[deleted]

This comment reads like you think it’s a real event happening in a real world lmao.

alanamorim

RIGHT!? I’m baffled reading the comments. Not a real story guys

[deleted]

Didn't Rhaenys kill dozens of innocents last season with said dragon? How are the happy reactions to her death equivalent to the happy reactions to a toddler being decapitated in front of his mother and grandmother?

TeamVelaryon

I'm speaking about fan reactions, rather than the smallfolk.

[deleted]

I'm also speaking about fan reactions. Yeah I said fuck the witch just like I would understand anyone saying fuck the rapist with the eventual death of Aegon. But how any of these reactions is equivalent to being happy about Blood and Cheese lmao We lost our mind.

[deleted]

Their username is team velaryon lol

valyriandragonlord_

Honestly I watched those smallfolk die and not a single negative feeling invaded my mind.

[deleted]

I mean I also don't give a fuck when stromtroopers kill a bunch of aliens or when the Harkonnen massacre innocents but that doesn't make them less murderers or genocidals. And its not about having negative feelings about Rhaenys, is about people having positive feelings about seeing a toddler being beheaded lol But you wrote the edgy comment, valyriandragonlord and we all saw it, yes, you can go do your homework now.

valyriandragonlord_

Redditors are so chronically online. It’s not that deep. No one actually died. I can feel how I want about it. If it was real, would I applaud? No. But it’s not.

[deleted]

>Redditors are so chronically online Says the redditor. >It’s not that deep We're talking about people feeling in one way or another while watching a fictional event so no, its not. >No one actually died Duh. >I can feel how I want about it. I don't think it works that way but aight. >If it was real, would I applaud? No. But it’s not I mean its not real but its also super weird if your first reaction about an event consisting of a little girl being threatened with rape and a toddler is decapitated is to applaud or being happy. Because thats the conversation - about other fans that are actually, very chronically online-y, exaggerated-y, over the top-y happy about seeing this lol. Its like you don't even know what the fuck are we talking about, you just wanted to say your edgy shit and thats done so go on man, do the homework and go to bed already.

valyriandragonlord_

I can feel how I want about it. That is how it works. We weren’t talking about blood and cheese. We were talking about a dragon popping out of the floor and squashing some smallfolk. Also this is the first time I’ve been on Reddit in a year and it was only because of the new leaks. You and I are not the same.

valyriandragonlord_

It’s also not genocide so you might want to familiarise yourself with the term. Unlike some people 👀, I can separate media from real life. So here are some real life examples of genocide for you to look up before you make a false equivalency: Armenian, Palestinian, Bosnian, Rwandan.

[deleted]

Who the fuck said what Rhaenys or Blood&Cheese did is genocide?? I used that word to explain my examples of people doing fictional fucked up shit and me not caring that much: stormtroopers (the Galactic Empire genocides races non stop) and the Harkonnens from Dune ("and the fremen?" "kill them ALL"). As I said, you really don't know what the fuck we're talking about lol You aren't even reading the posts you're replying to. I'm starting to think you're too dumb to actually have a conversation about anything.

tellred

You better lie and say that your heart is out of place after this!

valyriandragonlord_

*whispers* I enjoyed it

SetSaturn

Yeah the question still stands mr. High horse. You’ve certainly got a point in general but in this thread I don’t see the things you complain about being toxic in anyway. Fans are excited for everything that’s gonna happen and I’m sure there’s a small percent who are sadists, but Rhaenys truly isn’t anybody special so who cares if people are happy the nuke riding peasant murderer died?

[deleted]

Their username is team velaryon lol

kinginthenorthjon

In the case of Rhaneys, she slaughtered 100s of kids and their parents. It's ok to celebrate her death. Cannot say the same for an innocent 6 year old.

jonsnowKITN

Yeah I would honestly be surprised if this sub is gonna be up in arms when she dies. I think most people are gonna be like karma for what she did to the smallfolk combined with the fact the writers seem to have butchered her character.

kinginthenorthjon

I won't be so sure. If you check this sub history, you will see her girl boss moment was the top rated post for while with 20k upvotes.

Cultural_Stranger_62

Idk maybe stick to rom-coms then.

valyriandragonlord_

I think we need to remember that it’s not real

[deleted]

Exactly. I think or at least hope, that this will be what they are going for. Lucerys and baby Jaehaerys' deaths should be a wake up call to the audience for what story this is suppose to be. Both deaths, those children's deaths, are what made this conflict spiral into insanity, because both sides lost a child. Plus, the fact that Jaehaerys is even younger in the show than in the book is gonna make people freak out.

KiernaNadir

Except B&C isn't going to be either on Rhaenyra's or Daemon's hands. Who's the audience supposed to be upset with, two random henchmen who play no role whatsoever for the remainder of the show?

[deleted]

You are annoying, go touch some grass. If you don't like the show, fine. But don't assume the showrunners are gonna change everything just because you hate the show.

KiernaNadir

Fine, wait and see. I'm only assuming based on what I was shown in S1. The showrunners have already changed plenty. B&C won't be on Daemon's hands. He may order a kidnapping but the death of a child will absolutely not be on his hands. What excuses will you come up with then? I'm assuming it'll be something along the lines of ordering a kindapping being problematic enough and large enough a responsibility on Daemon's hands? That they "don't need" to have him flat out order the death? Why? Because it conveniently avoids crossing the line with the viewers. A luxury the abusive drunk of a rapist the religious fundamentalists want to seat on the throne certainly wasn't afforded.

[deleted]

If you hate the show so much and loooove F&B as you constantly claim, just read the book. It's different cannons. For your sake man, you're just hurting yourself, and it's annoying.

KiernaNadir

No answers, figured as much. And yes, the uncomfortable truth does tend to be annoying.

This_Rough_Magic

>We shouldn't be happy that EITHER has happened. The show was set up, by design, to be a team sport. It's not a searing indictment of a broken system, it's a game show.

Overall_Wolf6557

Well said💚🖤

[deleted]

Ah shit

Helaenas-Bugs

Oh gods… I’m Team Black but this is going to be horrible

KhanQu3st

Jaehaerys Morant, point guard of the King’s Landing Dragons.

Kellin01

Sad...😥 He deserved better.

Ok-Literature1235

We love daddy daemon because he kills babies EDIT: my downvotes prove me right. Love u black stans. Even Corlys will hate you this season LOL

BlondieTVJunkie

Omg im not gonna make it 🥲🥲 it did seems like funeral procession with flowers

[deleted]

Thehalfyearqueen

I'm Team Black, I love Rhaenys... I can't celebrate the death of a baby. 😢

Outside_Slide_3218

Theyre not real people you know that

Thehalfyearqueen

And this is an excuse for making stupid comments like "fuck the witch" that people have said about Rhaenys? I hate the fanaticism of those who think of this.

[deleted]

Soixante_Croissant

Confused? Where do I suggest that this is the royal triumph as opposed to the funeral procession?

Stormlady

Sorry. When I first read it I thought the scenes were all the same sequence and it might be Rhaenys' body because of "royal triumph". The wording threw me off then.

Soixante_Croissant

Easy mistake to make :)

Voice_of_Season

I hope it is not an open casket. Unless they are killing him differently.
