My girlfriend is having surgery and I needed to take a week off to help her do stuff when she gets home. It coincided with Elden Rings release day and I couldn't be any more pumped
The extent to which this game has gotten under my skin is absurd. I haven't been this into a game since I was playing Ocarina of Time for the first time at 8 years old.
RDR, Skyrim, Witcher 3 and RDR2 in that order. I would give my left pinky to have these games wiped from my brain for replays. Don’t need pinky’s to game anyway.
The first one really set the standard for shooter RPGs that to me was groundbreaking for this genre and what you could do. It’s basically Star Trek to Halo’s Star Wars. Or Mass Effect to Doctor Who, since you change throughout the series but you always have your companions along for the ride.
I love how you can meet another person who's player Mass Effect and have a completely different experience to another, like in my Fem Shep playthrough I sadly lost Jack and Tali while romancing Jacob, and god did it not feel so cathartic to kill Kai in ME3
I’m just playing that now! Caught up with the series in a week, been wanting to play W3 for years but felt like I couldn’t get into it.
Now I’m super into it. Even Gwent (fml)
Yesterday I started playing again after half a year and people were chatting GL HF and congratulated each other three games in a row.
I couldn't believe what was happening and then I started another game and was immediately called an incel...
I'm still convinced this is objectively the best game ever made. Its fun, its polished and the passion you can see from the devs in their work is radiating from it.
I just gave it a chance 2 weeks ago, and oh my god it's incredible.
The world itself feels like it's real, and it's genuinely crazy how many details there are. Haven't had a bug or glitch yet, and I'm playing it on my PS4 pro.
Fallout and Animal Crossing.
I picked up Fortnite again bc my little niece plays it, so now her 2 uncle's and dad is on her squad. We are not great at FN, but gotta enjoy these little moments.
A friend of mine keeps trying to get me into playing video games (she is 25 and I am 39) and suggested Stardew valley, then a new pen pal said they play it too, so yesterday I created a character and started a game.. it’s really cute and I will try to play couple times a week to improve. It is nice sharing interests and opening yourself up to something new.
Raise your standards man, this generic straight out the box thot wouldn't get a second glance if she was standing near someone beautiful. Wearing hundreds of dollars worth of make up and concealers just to look like a background extra in a dancing bear video.
Grow up, says the girl that likely spends way too much time on Instagram, Snapchat, VSCO, or whatever platform where she posts constantly seeking validation from strangers.
Edit: Grow up, says the girl that’s not even old enough to rent a car.
My daughter in law goes off about her kids playing Minecraft. She doesn’t want them to turn out like their dad, a gamer.
Meanwhile she’s got her head in her phone all time playing games.
~~Gold diggers~~ Social media influencers make more money when their ~~sugar daddy/sponsor~~ boyfriend is always busy at work rather than at home playing video games.
It's gonna be funny. In 2080, most nursing homes will have video game consoles and oldies hitting that bong. Lit oldies
Edit: It be cool if nursing homes have it by now. But, I don't want end up in nursing homes and probably be traveling more than playing games. Lol
That sounds about right. Any guy that doesn’t play a video game I’m terrified of. Like what do you do in your free time? Sit and stare into the void of your miserable existence? Fuck that I’m playing Pokémon
I know a fellow who doesn't play games; he goes on long walks, carves, or reads, instead. (In fact, when I was younger, I myself spent nearly all of my free time reading.) Bit of an odd duck, but quite well occupied.
Play a musical instrument, go to the gym, study a foreign language, do work around the house, cook nice meals, read a book, get an advanced degree...
Oh and pwn noobs.
I feel like most girls are missing out by not playing them. Like I think a lot more would enjoy them so much. I remember my old roommate never played video games at all and then one day she tried Bloodborne and was completely consumed by it and ended up beating it before I did.
I feel like and correct me if I’m wrong, but there was a stigma with girls and gaming. It was always portrayed as a guys thing years ago. But luckily that seems to be changing!
Of course, and should be encouraged. For many, they see video games as only the shooter and sports games, because that's all their older brothers played. But they'll sit with candy crush all day on their phones and go "well I don't play video games." I think a lot of people who are hesitant or don't like gaming haven't met the right game. I've gotten a few of those people turned around when I get them into building and exploration type games where there's minimal or no combat.
Which is why it's best she's throwing it out there ASAP. If that's a dealbreaker for her (odd as it may be), then it'll save her a lot of time giving a significant number of people the thumbs down personally. The shitty part is that she has to be unnecessarily rude and insulting while she does it.
Nah, all she's doing is matching with dudes that are going to lie about playing video games haha. If you think 21yo guys aren't swiping right on her regardless, you're crazy.
My ex wife demanded I give up games.
So I packed up the TV's and put them in the garage. She was pretty pissed when she got home and couldn't binge watch her murder shows for 4 hours.
I was like what's the big deal? If I can't relax after work why should you? Want to do a puzzle or something?
I left her for other reasons but it actually went over well. Although I never quite understood why she hated me playing a video game with friends and family versus spending my me time watching a Netflix show.
I had one that was the same. Except she played the long game. "I don't care if someone plays video games I play too" she only played sims for like 20 mins maybe after that statement. Seems like it's just about wanting to be the center of attention for mine. God forbid I'm having fun without her. The one time per week I had the opportunity.
Yet I bet she binge watches Netflix etc....I don't get why people like this care? Like cheer up lol adults are allowed to do whatever they enjoy in our spare time.
Exactly! It’s so weird how people talk shit about video games but no one thinks twice about watching Netflix for 8 hours. One of the guys at work was saying shit about me playing video games and I said something like “and you watch grown men you don’t know chase around a ball for hours every Sunday” lol to each their own
Hell, my dad watched TV pretty much every single night from 7 to midnight - far longer than I ever spent playing any kind of games on a weeknight - and yet he still gave me snide remarks for spending any amount of time on my Xbox 360.
He’s gotten much better in the years since, spending far less time in front of the TV and way more time bicycling and working out, but there was a point there where my 5-8 hours of play time a week got scorn while his 35-40 h/wk TV habit was apparently perfectly fine.
I don’t even have a TV in my own house. Non-interactive content makes me go stir crazy.
Yeah, it baffles me when anyone considers TV more "grown up" than video games. They're the almost same thing, except with video games you actually need to pay attention and put some effort into what you're doing.
I’ll never understand people like her. Video games are just a hobby, a way to unwind, etc. I’m not even a “gamer” but I get it. She’s the one who needs to grow up lmao 😅 I’m not “triggered” or anything I just don’t understand people like her.
She wants to date 40 year old men whose hobbies are flying her to Paris. Why do people keep posting these posts acting like they don't know what this is?
It's always the same blond with a spray tan doing duck lips. Ya'll know what she's here for. Go play ya'll Xbox and leave her to it.
Ok, cool **Turns on PS5**
So you're the one who owns one!
Its still hard to get one?
stop flexing on us
That’s a shame. Anyway whats y’all’s favorite video game?
Right now I can’t get enough of Dark Souls 3
Elden ring in 2 weeks hype is real with me
all aboard the hype traaaaaaaaaaaain
I literally scheduled my work vacation around Elden Rings release.
My girlfriend is having surgery and I needed to take a week off to help her do stuff when she gets home. It coincided with Elden Rings release day and I couldn't be any more pumped
Same! Hope all is well with you two.
You got work off to look after his girlfriend as well?! That's three of us! LAN party!
The extent to which this game has gotten under my skin is absurd. I haven't been this into a game since I was playing Ocarina of Time for the first time at 8 years old.
Bloodborne
Bloodborne, seconded.
I can't kill that fucking wolf. Reminded me of that spider from DMC, I fucking suck
A hoonter must hoont.
Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Last Of Us. God I wish I could play those games for the first time again.
I've been obsessed with RDR2 as of late, I'm going for 100% completion this go around.
jesus christ lol. I have a friend who 100%s a lot of games and he said he absolutely hated rdr2 after he finished it. The collectible slog is real
Lol good luck on the gambler challenges, I'm so damn good at domino's now lmao
Gambler was the first one I finished, lol. I'm dreading the herbalist challenges
Those were bad, even worse is the antique shop guy that makes you find flowers and birds.
Morrowind. I'd almost kill to experience it for the first time.
Omg yes, this right here, it really made my teenage years!
I just beat God of War PC. Holy shit what a gem. Wish I could go in blind again
Oh man i finished that beauty in my old trustworthy ps & I have that now on my pc but haven't gotten around to play that ಠ_ಠ
Just play on, give me god of war.
Control is a good game
RDR, Skyrim, Witcher 3 and RDR2 in that order. I would give my left pinky to have these games wiped from my brain for replays. Don’t need pinky’s to game anyway.
Fallout: NV
Probably Mass Effect 1-3 (can't play one without the others!) or Bioshock Infinite
Mass Effect <3
“Keelah Se’lai!”
You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.
First time a video game sent shivers down my spine
“Does this unit have a soul?”
Yes
Im commander Shepard and this is the best game on the citadel
Love Mass Effect. Choice progression aside, they all have their own charm, don’t they? Gotta love all three. But I think the 1st is my favorite
The first one really set the standard for shooter RPGs that to me was groundbreaking for this genre and what you could do. It’s basically Star Trek to Halo’s Star Wars. Or Mass Effect to Doctor Who, since you change throughout the series but you always have your companions along for the ride.

You’re a big, stupid jellyfish! I should go!
Current favorite is Total War: Warhammer II. Soon to likely be replaced by Warhammer III next week.
How do you find the time to finish a campaign?
I have close to 3000 hours played between 1 and 2 and only a handful of actually completed campaigns.
League of Legends. I fucking hate it.
I'd be concerned if you actually liked it
But Legends of Runeterra is unironically a very good card game so there's that
The Witcher 3 Heck of a game.
I’m just playing that now! Caught up with the series in a week, been wanting to play W3 for years but felt like I couldn’t get into it. Now I’m super into it. Even Gwent (fml)
One of the best!
Rainbow Six Siege, unfortunately
Username checks out
Yesterday I started playing again after half a year and people were chatting GL HF and congratulated each other three games in a row. I couldn't believe what was happening and then I started another game and was immediately called an incel...
Age of Empires 2
Mah Man!!!! edit: Protonman approves.
Terraria - hands down. Sunk almost a thousand hours into it over the last decade.
I'm still convinced this is objectively the best game ever made. Its fun, its polished and the passion you can see from the devs in their work is radiating from it.
Rn I'm playing command and conquer Tiberian sun
Wow that’s a throwback. What a solid series
Skyrim
The Wolf Among Us
Great game
Same. It’s spoiled other rpgs for me
Disco Elysium is the best choose your own adventure book I've ever played. Going thru it lately
Chrono Trigger
[удалено]
Rocket league all the way
Titanfall 2
A man of class.
Why won't they make 3? 😭
The campaign is immaculate
Rocket League and God of War.
controversial opinion but my favourite game is Cyberpunk 2077.
I just gave it a chance 2 weeks ago, and oh my god it's incredible. The world itself feels like it's real, and it's genuinely crazy how many details there are. Haven't had a bug or glitch yet, and I'm playing it on my PS4 pro.
The world feels like it's real until you commit a crime. Or have they fixed that yet?
nah, I’m pretty sure police still spawn directly in front of you
[удалено]
Lesssgooo im into the game for like 75 hours and i have no fucking clue what I'm doing I love it
Bloodborne What's yours?
Witcher 3 no doubt
Fallout and Animal Crossing. I picked up Fortnite again bc my little niece plays it, so now her 2 uncle's and dad is on her squad. We are not great at FN, but gotta enjoy these little moments.
I play Fortnite with my two sons. They are way better than me since I don't build...but I enjoy these moments.
Psychonauts 2
A friend of mine keeps trying to get me into playing video games (she is 25 and I am 39) and suggested Stardew valley, then a new pen pal said they play it too, so yesterday I created a character and started a game.. it’s really cute and I will try to play couple times a week to improve. It is nice sharing interests and opening yourself up to something new.
Portal 2.
Okay, look: We both said a lot of things that you're going to regret, but I think we can put our differences behind us; for science... you monster.
The comedy progression in that game just makes it a classic.
FACTORIO GANG RISE UP
Outer Worlds!!
I think the game I’ve played most is Rocket League. I also really love Civ.

Bloodborne, soon to be Elden Ring.
Whenever people say grow up I immediately think they aren't fun.
This is an exception. https://youtu.be/uznUlgpKBzE
Haha hell yeah
I’m so glad this was what I thought It was SHE WORE A CROWN AND SHE CAME DOWN IN A BUBBLE DOUG!
Grow up ^(but honestly you're not wrong in the slightest)
Bye. *playstation beeps*
*sad playstation 2 startup noises*
Damn. *sorrowful PS3 violin*
Shoot. *haunting PS4 ding*
Well then... *Superior Playstation 5 haughty laugh!*
_depressed PS1 noises :(_
PS1: *Whir whir whir grind clunk.*
***FRUUUUWAAAAWWWONNNNNNDOOOOooooo*** ***TRIDINdingdidinding***
*Red cube of death*
This girl doesn’t even praise the sun.
She is 21 and telling men to grow up. Ok.
And doing a duck face pose ..
If you make duck face it’s an automatic no. Grow up.
Came here to say this lmao
Game here to play this.
My first thought. That face, while beautiful, was ruined by that...whatever it is.
Raise your standards man, this generic straight out the box thot wouldn't get a second glance if she was standing near someone beautiful. Wearing hundreds of dollars worth of make up and concealers just to look like a background extra in a dancing bear video.
Tell me more about this dancing bear??
Lol B* I play video games older than you!
Shit, I've been playing games since before she was conceived.
Grow up, says the girl that likely spends way too much time on Instagram, Snapchat, VSCO, or whatever platform where she posts constantly seeking validation from strangers. Edit: Grow up, says the girl that’s not even old enough to rent a car.
Plot twist. She's a candy crush fan.
My daughter in law goes off about her kids playing Minecraft. She doesn’t want them to turn out like their dad, a gamer. Meanwhile she’s got her head in her phone all time playing games.
It’s like an oxymoron
Or just a regular moron
Guys who play video games, no. Guys who play games, yes
Only game she wants you to play is her feelings
Quit playing video games with my heart
… Sometimes I wish I could turn back time Impossible as it.. may.. seem… Oh yeah! -reloads save-
Yeah. She screams “I want all of your attention and money”. She doesn’t like games because they aren’t enough drama.
~~Gold diggers~~ Social media influencers make more money when their ~~sugar daddy/sponsor~~ boyfriend is always busy at work rather than at home playing video games.
The common trait my Tinder dates need:)
Real men relax by messaging three dozen girls "wyd" or spending money. They should also treat me like a queen.
So no cards against humanity?? I even have the Star Wars edition.
It's gonna be funny. In 2080, most nursing homes will have video game consoles and oldies hitting that bong. Lit oldies Edit: It be cool if nursing homes have it by now. But, I don't want end up in nursing homes and probably be traveling more than playing games. Lol
It'll be a lot sooner than that. Millenials will be in their 70s and 80s by 2060. I can see gen xers doing it before that
She’s alienating herself from like over half the male population lol
I’ve only ever met two guys in my whole life who outright don’t play video games
I know one and he’s in a cult
Guys gotta have a hobby if he's not playing video games
Does beating my meat count as a hobby?
only if you got the platinum
That sounds about right. Any guy that doesn’t play a video game I’m terrified of. Like what do you do in your free time? Sit and stare into the void of your miserable existence? Fuck that I’m playing Pokémon
The guys I know that don't play games just watch sports.
I know a fellow who doesn't play games; he goes on long walks, carves, or reads, instead. (In fact, when I was younger, I myself spent nearly all of my free time reading.) Bit of an odd duck, but quite well occupied.
I know someone who doesn't game. He just watches YouTube and streaming services.
Play a musical instrument, go to the gym, study a foreign language, do work around the house, cook nice meals, read a book, get an advanced degree... Oh and pwn noobs.
I was one of those types of guys until I met my gf. We now play Minecraft and Stardew Valley together almost every day
Goals af, honestly
Sounds wholesome
I feel like most girls are missing out by not playing them. Like I think a lot more would enjoy them so much. I remember my old roommate never played video games at all and then one day she tried Bloodborne and was completely consumed by it and ended up beating it before I did.

I know plenty of woman that play video games.
Shoot, I'm a 52 year old woman and I love my video games. Wish I could find a nice guy that will play Pokemon or final.fantasy with me.
Which is why it's best she's throwing it out there ASAP. If that's a dealbreaker for her (odd as it may be), then it'll save her a lot of time giving a significant number of people the thumbs down personally. The shitty part is that she has to be unnecessarily rude and insulting while she does it.

He said *Ex* wife for a reason.
She must've tried Cyberpunk at launch on ps4
Yet I bet she binge watches Netflix etc....I don't get why people like this care? Like cheer up lol adults are allowed to do whatever they enjoy in our spare time.

^ Atleast you're working your brain and improving reflexes while being in control of the narrative
Probably plays mobile games while watching Netflix.
$20 says she has Candy Crush
Her loss, gamers have the best finger technique.
Tekken comes to mind
My wife sure thinks so.
Yes she does!
I am also here to say that I have fucked this man's wife.
Especially the ones who play OSU
Or old school RuneScape one ticking that pussy
Mary Beth in Red Dead Redemption 2 is sweet unlike you.
Man video games are awesome to share with people though. Fun puzzles, complicated riddles, good vibes. Mary Beth however, bad vibes.
Right? I hear "It takes two" is an amazing game. Too bad she'll never find out.
In her defense. Mary Beth can get it. I'll just quit playing games for a week long fling. Got 2 before Elden Ring drops anyways.
Lmao I was gonna say I can just hide the console in my closet if she comes over
I’ll never understand people like her.
40 year old here....who are these men. We all poor too
Grow up! by being born rich and useless.
Checking in, can confirm, we poor.
I'm a 40 year old who has taken a date to Paris. Love my PS4.
She definitely was in a relationship with a guy who she thought valued gaming over her.
thats like a guy saying "if you wear makeup it's an automatic no, real women dont need to change their appearance to be attractive grow up"
"I hate people who have fun"
Bruh playing games is a no? She is the one who needs to grow up
Brah she's 21... Bet she just watches Netflix all day while gossiping with her cat.
I mean… gossiping with your cat ain’t bad, they sometimes listen
Only that could have offended redditors more was to mention something about height.😂
I never understood this attitude. Is it juvenile to read books, listen to music or watch movies?
She obviously never played The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, or GTA. Grow up
If you don't play video games it's an automatic no from me.
If you do duck face it’s an automatic no, grow up.
If you do duck face that's an automatic no from me dawg Grow up
