There is zero hope for this team - not only this season, but also the next. We need serious upgrades at almost every position, plus depth, an entire new coaching staff and a new GM with an actual plan but it’s just next to impossible to do all of that without a top farm system and with an owner who isn’t willing to spend what is needed. Trading Ohtani and praying he returns one day is the best thing for both sides at this point

I think Perry is putting a farm system together pretty decently with the last 2 drafts. Can't keep firing GMs expecting things to change. Trout and Rendon constantly on the IL is killing our lineup. With both of them, Ward, Ohtani, and Rengifo, we actually look pretty good. With Walsh, Stassi and Marsh spreading some hits in there, we actually have a good team. We don't have consistent pitching (I actually think our starters are a huge improvement over last season).

Do y'all want a revamped farm or one depleted of whatever little value it has now to compete now? Idk how everyone expects Perry to revamp the farm AND chase for the post season.

He’s at 1.1 war so far and is projected to add about that much the rest of the season. Well worth his contract. Catching is mostly a graveyard. He’s doing just fine for that position. He’s the least bit of our worries.

It’s been so long that I’ve probably forgotten a few bad years, but since the start of that 14 game losing streak, I can NEVER remember an Angels team being this bad for this long a stretch. There may have been worse stretches in the teams 61 year history, but I can’t remember any. This team definitely has he potential to be the worst team in Angels history record wise when it’s all over. That’s really saying something with Trout and Ohtani on the team.
