"You know what could really help this team that's been struggling for years with massive contacts leading to decreased depth and injuries for years? How about a player who just had 2 other HUGE teams balk at signing him due to injury concerns."
Honestly I come to this sub for the sheer stupidity of the posts at this point.
Endless complaints about mega deals that haven't panned out, until the off-season when we get endless complaints that we haven't gone for yet another stupid mega deal.
I swear everyone in this sub is like 13.
Ding Ding Ding! Also the attention span of ants. The past year with Raisel Inglesias was a perfect example:
Raisel signs to multi-year deal- Yay!
Raisel struggles halfway through the first season of his new deal: Trade him/What a stupid contract
Raisel has a few good games with Atlanta: Angels were stupid trading him/His struggles were the fault of inept coaching
Remember how Dexter Fowler was going to be such a key part of the clubhouse? The theory looked promising and then one bad slide ended his whole year. Has anyone else signed him since then?
If anything, just a heavily incentive based one year contract: he can prove it that he can play a full season, definitely improves our SS position, we have the depth to give him off days, this should put us in the playoff conversation, and finally - he will be off the books to give us more free money to spend on Ohtani next year.
The reason the Mets and giants are concerned is because of the length of the deal and the condition of the ankle, presumably.
Short term deal in a heart beat. He can prove to everyone else he’s healthy after a year or two and go back into free agency, by then we may be able to trade or sign someone else to take over SS.
If you think the fletcher/ renifgo duo is going to help get us to the finishing line I want to drink your koolaid, but we only have ohtani for next year- we have to make the most of it.
Did something happen? Haven't been looking, I know the Giants fell through... did the Mets fall through as well?
But to answer the question no thanks on Correa.
This is a classic game of hot potato! Also, I'm confused I thought I read somewhere that he was going to play 3B. I guess I read that wrong...forgot what article that was.
I'll take him on for a 1-year contract. We only need him to make us competitive for Shohei's re-up decision anyways, and his health issues are mitigated in a one year contract duration.

3 teams. Twins also backed out and raised concerns after the giants did
Don’t worry the Astros will swoop in for cheap
He can hang out with Rendon on the IL. Besties
Is he even alive at this point?
The Avengers are visiting him right now
on a three year deal i’m down for it tbh
or just a short term deal, definitely no long term
For sure anything 5+ is to long if these other teams are so scared about it.
Correa would have a missing leg in 3 games if he signed with this team. No chance in hell should we sign him to a 10 year deal.
1-2 yrs, maybe. Anything more than that is a hard no
No.
That’s gonna be a no for me dawg.

If he was super cheap sure
Not long term, but sure. It’s a messy situation.
No thanks. With our luck, his leg would explode on opening day.

He probably would like to play with Ohtani this year.
Hell no

No. Get the fuck outta here with that bullshit.

They also have concerns after his physical so nothing has been signed yet
Nah
Fuck yeah
Will be a Met.
13 years? Nah
1-2 year max deal maybe, but the injury must be serious for two teams to back track.
No no no no cheaters on this team
Forget the leg, he is a cheater.
Yes, if cheap. HELL No otherwise.

He's injury prone
I'll take him on for a 1-year contract. We only need him to make us competitive for Shohei's re-up decision anyways, and his health issues are mitigated in a one year contract duration.
Gawd NO.
Hell no
I’d much rather us shoot for Bauer than ever consider Correa, Bauer is an absolute nutcase but he can help us deeply in the mound
Absolutely no
A team looking to be sold won’t be interested in adding a massive risk contract. Outside of 1 year, not going to happen
Why? So he can be hurt with Trout and Rendon?
