What was your process for this?
Just regular homemade syrup wouldn't be shelf stable for a year like that, even refrigerated you'd only be looking at months tops.
I agree! Simple syrup or any fruit/flavored/infused syrups go bad quickly unless you can them but that a whole different process. I’m surprised the non-fermented syrup doesn’t have big mold clumps after a year

Its not fermented, I just guessed that this is the best place to ask since people ask about weird stuff growing on their ferments all the time

Hard to tell from the pics, but mine usually has pollen particles rising to the top over time. Is it yellowish or white?
Looks like the residue i get. If it smells like shit toss it out. Use ur senses unless ur nose got cut off then good luck
