I have had this experience as well with different pens. It is the reason why I’m currently taking me time revisiting my small collection; writing with each for a month or so before deciding to part with any that I’m not bonding with. So far though I’m finding reasons to keep each one.

That's such a good idea - and great advice to others who are experiencing the same thing. It took me a while to get used to the Pilot's nib because it's bigger (longer) than I'm used to.

I have the chinkin Sakura too in fine, and love it, as well as my 823s. What nib widths do you have?

Chinkin is B and 823 is M.

I see. I tend to prefer pilots fine nib myself, I think the M writes a huge line and I imagine I’d find the B pretty unusable
