How can I reduce the saturation in Noodler's Southwest Sunset? I found that if I use it in my medium and broad nibs, it bleeds badly, even on TR paper. Can anyone help?

I have a 4-year-old bottle of Iroshizuku Yu-Yake ink. It's much darker than the new YY ink I have, probably due to its age. Is it likely that the viscosity will also have changed?

Weird thing. I've had a Pilot Custom 823 for a while but never bonded with it. Instead, I saved up to get a Namiki Chinkin which is beautiful, but the nib is just...meh. So I took my 823 for another test run, and now we've bonded tighter than superglue. Anyone else experienced something similar?
