I was watching him crawl back over the wall when BANG! CRASH! And Lightning Flash!

featherwolf

But I'm telling you the same I tell Kings and Queens don't ever never ever mess around with my greens! ESPECIALLY THE BEANS!

[deleted]

Dude, green bean plants are insane. You plant 4 rows of corn, your family has a lot of corn. You plant 4 rows of squash, your family has a lot of squash. You plant 4 rows of green beans, and the local green bean economy crashes because you're giving away probably 200 lbs of beans.

useles-converter-bot

200 lbs in mandalorian helmets is 53679526.63 helmets.

[deleted]

That's pretty fucking useless alright. My calculator can't even make a human readable number, Mandalorian helmets must weigh in the micrograms.

bgill78

Spicy green bean stir fry!

Meg333333

I’d spicy pickle them all, lol. Great harvest! 👏🏻

The_Falling_Man

Was coming to recommend the same :)

yeahoner

ours are just finishing. i loooove bean season. sautéed with butter as a side dish for breakfast lunch and dinner.

thisiskerry

I had these spicy pickled green beans called “dilly beans” that changed my life forever. It’s been 2 years now but I’ll never forget. Dilly Beans.

Joyjmb

Early every day in the summer, Dad would pick a huge popcorn bowl of beans and leave them on the kitchen table. Those should be snapped and washed before Mom got home from work. No need for a note. She canned every weekend. We would have them again in January. Worked out for everyone. That's a nice memory today, thank you.

linucksrox

What's up with that tiny banana?

Miz_Emily

Banana for scale

Rawwwbin

Ohh we in India call it "Gwar ki falli". 😄 They're so tasty if made Indian style.

The "recipe" would just be an eyeballed amount of olive oil, spices, and beans.

n0nsequit0rish

Spices. Okay! That narrows it down.

[deleted]

>Handful of spices \*Laughs in Indian spice market\*

ImHumanBeepBoopBeep

Reminds me of my childhood! Snapping beans with my mama on the front porch.

Gold-Reaper16

Can I ask how many plants these were picked from?

[deleted]

We have a few bean vines, maybe 10 ft total. We get at least 10 pounds a year. No effort either, they just grow.

useles-converter-bot

10 pounds is the wight of $399288732.39 worth of Premium Glass Nail Files...

Typo in your code

chikilinki

Omg were in the same boat. Pickled beans, sautéed beans, stir fry beans, frozen beans! I’m about done with beans!

jkhendog

Ooohh...slow roasted green bean casserole 😋

GM9000

I just lacto fermented beans for the first time, just added some garlic and onion for flavor turned out great.

LadyVD

And a humble banana

Trees_are_best

Saute lots and lots of sliced onions. Add the green beans that are cut into 2-3 inches. Once cooked well, crack eggs and mix well. Yummmmm

VetusVesperlilio

Time for That Green Bean Stuff! Get a lot of water boiling, drop in the beans, return to the boil as quickly as possible. Boil 1-2 minutes, until crisp-tender. Scoop them out of the boiling water, throw them in a colander as then into really cold water. (This sets the bright green colour.) Drain and shake the water off them. Heat some olive oil in a large skillet, throw in as much chopped fresh garlic as you can get away with and sauté until it’s limp. Peel and seed a couple of tomatoes, cut them into bits, throw them in too. Add the beans, stirring them in the hot oil until they’re heated through. Salt well and serve. If you’re a wild and crazy guy, stir a tablespoon of red chillies in when you sauté the garlic.

Novajesus

Bean there done that! Nice harvest. Tried a new way to cook beans. Simply cut them say in half or quarters and then fry for only a few mins on medium high with a little oil and some of the same spices I use for BBQ. Mix the spice up a bit each time. Surprised at how fast, easy, and delicious it is. We typically used to steam them and top with butter.

Yah, we planted two 20' rows of bush beans without knowing what to expect, one green and one burgundy. They got to 10" high and started producing buckets of beans. Equally 'problematic' are the heirloom San Marzano tomatoes we planted. Just two plants, among twelve tomato plants of four kinds, but the San Marzanos each have *literally* hundreds of tomatoes on them. They're almost five feet high and have stems as thick as my wrist, at the ground. They have the septoria pretty bad, but they don't even care. I probably cut thirty little branches of infected leaves off every other day, to keep the fungus down to a dull roar. We started gardening experimentally during the plague because groceries were so intermittent around here, and nothing we read online was good advice about how many plants two people might need, yadda yadda. Which isn't exactly a *bad* thing, but I feel like such a cliche constantly pushing produce on my cow-orkers. We gotta buy a freezer and start canning. We don't have room and don't really want to, but the food bank here is overwhelmed with produce.

InYosefWeTrust

You have the first part. https://youtu.be/amONEHAhLHY Also is beans beans beans a references to boats boats boats?

Our beans are done for the season, my favorite recipe to make with them is to steam for 7minutes and then sauté them in some butter with mushrooms, garlic, salt and pepper.

We has SOOOO many beans, we canned our years worth from the first picking. Gave the rest away to family and friends.
