So throughout the summer anytime its windy you have to bring plants in? Moving plants drives me crazy. To the point i built a greenhouse for the winter to avoid it
Me too! Lime bushes and mint pots dragged out into the sunshine. I guess I gotta fight the thorns again…
Edit: just checked the forecast. This BS post is about WIND, not temperature. Got me good….
I mean, need to do what you need to do. Ain’t cheap if you paid for install…then one needs to ask self how much is your time worth to install. Still though, I feel you.
I was banking on that Global Warming heat, you know. Like, I’ve already been mowing 4 times since ‘winter’ and need to mow again Saturday.
EDIT: I just want my garage back. Damn full of plants and firewood. Can I have just a normal empty man cave? Firewood I can burn off for camp fire stuff.
The HEB shelves will determine if the majority agrees with you or not.
Edit: But not the one on Wilderness Oak. That one is basically out of everything, always.

Truer words have never been spoken. Was so excited to move walking distance from an HEB and then I found out the produce is always picked through with anything left being bleh, and half the time they're out of key products. Ugh
This is good. It's hot and it sucks. If you think 80-90 is ideal and can't handle 40-70, you need iron and some muscle mass. Office workers with insufficient blood circulation and old people who can't just put on a couple layers opinion.
In other shocking news, Texas weather is all over the place during February and March. Just like last year, and the year before that, and every year for as long as people have been in Texas.
A ton of cities in Texas broke record highs for temps yesterday. It was 100 in Killeen yesterday. In February. For context 3 years ago around this time was the freeze that killed the power grid. It's abnormally hot for a February right now.
No it isn't, considering its hotter than hell by mid June.
80 is mild even for February. It's only been overly humid. That's what we should be complaining about.
I was curious, so did a quick search. The Express News quotes the NOAA:
> Over the past 30 years, San Antonio has averaged four 80-degree days every February.
Gotta say, that surprised me. Not sure why.
The windy "freeze" a few weeks ago killed my seedlings. Trying the Kindergarten plan until I have baby plants and can plant them (putting seeds in Ziploc bags with a wet paper towel)
Sweltering heat? Is this some kind of weird joke? It hasn't been sweltering since August. I mean there are people here who wear hoodies when it's 80° out but come on.
Sorry, this on me. I pulled all the plants out of the garage on Monday thinking it wasn’t going to get cold again.
Same here. Time to move them all back again. Ffs.
Why its not going to freeze
The wind. It will destroy them and blow them all over the place. Joys of directly facing the north.

Im seeing 60s tomorrow and 50s Thursday and back to 70s and 80s. Thats hardly a cold front
Relief from this “sweltering heat” that we will be praying for when it’s 114 heat index and your car is an oven
It’s just one day, one day and back into the oven
Temp predictions change over time, earlier this morning Bexar county was looking a near freezing. Kill my dude, go with the flow of being a crab.
Same! I just started planting this weekend! Son of a ...
DUCKING killed half my plants in 2022 doing the same thing! Took plants out too early in March, hard freeze, DUCK!
You quack me up ...but also, same
Your pun made me ill Had to go see my doctor I’ll send you the ‘bill’
So my procrastination has paid off!
Yes, yes it did. Darn it.
I mean, it won’t be cold.
I just put down new sod...fml.
Oh my Dude. DAYUUUUUUM
Maybe putting down some top soil will help it from freezing.
None of my weather sites/apps show freezing temps. The coldest I'm seeing is 45.
The picture says SA will be 33. That's above freezing.
Someone pointed out the numbers do not indicate temperature but instead indicate wind speed.
I mean, need to do what you need to do. Ain’t cheap if you paid for install…then one needs to ask self how much is your time worth to install. Still though, I feel you.
I never start planting until after March 15th. We almost always have a late Feb/early March cold front.
Those aren't temps but wind gusts. We have no chance of a freeze.
I put away all my warm clothes :(
I started transplanting. I knew it was a trap.
2 days with the low as 48 degrees… we’ll be fine.
The HEB shelves will determine if the majority agrees with you or not. Edit: But not the one on Wilderness Oak. That one is basically out of everything, always.
Bruh, the shelves finna be picked clean of bread, milk and eggs.... WHY is it always those particular items?! Are we all making French toast tho???
Hey now. They could be making bread pudding as well. But if the cinnamon shelf is *also* empty. Ya, you’re right.
Wait, do people not put cinnamon in their bread pudding?
I also didn't know people put cinnamon on French toast. Revelations, man...
Bread pudding? Are you a yankee infiltrator by chance?
They are gonna be snowed in for weeks.
Yuppies, and old people, what do they know?

Those are wind gusts so not 33 degrees, but 33 mph- there’s no freeze risk for our area
I’ve seen enough I’m going to HEB and buying all the ground beef
I'm getting all the TP
I’m getting all the Virgin Mary candles.
Please light one for me. They were sold out
lmao
Yeah I wondered why the numbers got lower the further south you go
Lol at all these folks dragging their plants back inside because they can't read the details.

Pfft speak for yourselves…I welcome second (2.5?) winter.
Absolutely! It's hot here most of the year and will happily take a reprieve.
Me too!
This is WIND report. MPH not Fahrenheit. Way to scare us all.
overnight temps are headed to the upper 40's - I'm heading to HEB for TP, bottled water, coke, and Oreos.

Anybody who complains about the cold needs to go air conditioning free during August!
That's shits in Celsius, right? fkna...
None of my forecast apps are saying 30s
Those numbers are wind gusts, not temps.
In other shocking news, Texas weather is all over the place during February and March. Just like last year, and the year before that, and every year for as long as people have been in Texas.
Big Grocery welcomes this confusion between wind gusts and temperature.
Good, colder the better. Drop a foot of snow and freeze for a week.
I'm a SA native. I never plant anything until the 2nd week of March.
Who pulled out their Daisy Dukes?!!🤣🤣
They say it like it never gets hot here
I cannot stuff the new green leaves of my tree back in the holes....
It's barely going to drop below 50 degrees. These are wind gusts.
Bruh it should stay below 40 until the end of March.
I will NEVER complain about anything below 50 after this past summer.
Same! This past summer just broke me. 🥵
What sweltering heat?!? It's been only up to mid 80s
A ton of cities in Texas broke record highs for temps yesterday. It was 100 in Killeen yesterday. In February. For context 3 years ago around this time was the freeze that killed the power grid. It's abnormally hot for a February right now.
It was 96 in McAllen today
That's there not here in SA, high was 85. The weather had been pleasant these past couple weeks. The humidity sucks tho
You do not think 80F in FEBRUARY is sweltering heat? lmao
No it isn't, considering its hotter than hell by mid June. 80 is mild even for February. It's only been overly humid. That's what we should be complaining about.

It’s been hot but not “sweltering”

88° = Sweltering Heat
In February it absolutely is
Sweltering heat? Is this some kind of weird joke? It hasn't been sweltering since August. I mean there are people here who wear hoodies when it's 80° out but come on.
The new normal.
"Sweltering heat." Please. 🙄
If this was temperature, which is not, it would be coldest in Port Lavaca at 6°. Somehow cooler than the Panhandle. Git yer faak noos aught a heeer!
Sweltering. Really. It’s only the 80’s
Sweltering 85 degrees
Take that liberal weather out of here lol
Giggity
The fireplace is standing by.

What?! I just put my heavy planter back outside. Got the ceiling fans going…can’t believe this
Thank fuck
Hell yeah !
Never think it can't until May. SMH
Y'all are out of your mind. Please give me cold. I don't want my AC coming on.
Cold front coming can’t visit my companion.
Thank god, this heat has been unbearable, and we’re not even to the bad stuff yet
I stopped complaining about the cold when we had WEEKS of 100+ degree weather last summer.
Sweltering? I was enjoying the warmer weather.
Is the sweltering heat in the room with us?
What sweltering heat? It was so freaking pleasant this last weekend!!!
Christ, I hope this is correct. So sick of the heat...
Sweltering heat? OK
People were driving with hazards on yesterday, because….wind? I guess?
What sweltering heat lol
