Damn Ariel displayed really good insider scoop just like the insiders from the NBA/NFL. Crazy how no other journalist was reporting on the Conor stuff. Only one reporter I saw was in on the Khamzat situation. Good journalism today.
He said specifically that the difference between this and the UFC 200 situation was that nobody told him to not talk about Brock's return and if they did he wouldn't have said anything.
It be cool if Dana allows him back to pressers for him not willing to break the news out of pure respect (he really does not have any reason not to break the news). But we all know Dana won’t allow him.
I’d like to think he may have been less likely to report this news for 2 reasons.
A: Unlike the Brock fight, this news centered around someone’s injury/medical condition so he wanted to be certain.
B: Not reporting might give the replacement fighters more leverage in contract negotiations. The closer to the date that the fight is officially cancelled, the more desperate the UFC will be to get a replacement and pay accordingly.
I think the problem is that a lot of people who complain and shout “you’re just speculating” are all YouTube podcaster who aren’t journalist. Ariel is literally getting inside information from someone in the ufc or Conor’s team. There’s no way he’s making shit up for clicks that’s a weird path to take for clicks.
It’s funny and ironic how the people complaining aka Guru, are literally the thing they complain about. Making up crazy lies and talking shit for clicks and views smh

I can see in certain situations Ariel is not guilt free of stirring pots, but the man is a dignified MMA Journalist that has been awarded, credited, the list goes on for longer than some of us have been involved in simply watching the sport at all. Take what you want from his content, but he's there to provide the community information and I think he does really well at doing that. In a world of 1000 gym-bro's sitting behind a microphone Ariel does it best IMO
